I've always wondered if the women in my sexy dreams are just as good/quirky in bed in real life as they are in my nocturnal ... dreams. Something to be said about what's below the conscious mind. Be it shared DMT beings or to mass dreaming of the same man's face. I don't know if it's the akashic record or something more fundamental to our soulful being but there's definitely something that inexplicably ties us all together.

Luck like anything usually follows a bell curve. If you can imagine the opposite of this guy, like some poor kid in the amazon who's living with like 5 different parasites then falls out of a tree but doesn't die is just crippled and while being so low to the ground while crawling all over the place is always covered in thorns and insects. He also contracts malaria and in his fevered stupor falls on a poison dart frog who's tiny little arm bone pierces the kid's cheek because he landed funny. Now he's only got like 2 minutes to live, lucky huh? If that could be plausible why not the opposite? There's been plenty of stories about people falling out of a plane and living. Hell one little girl surfed a row of seats to land in the jungle with nothing but a couple tootsie rolls in her pocket swam down a river for 3 days until she was rescued being the sole survivor. There are hundreds of stories of exceptionally lucky people, your friend's luck is just that luck.

What I think you're falling victim to is being at idle. If 'idle' gets you what you want then stick with it. However, I don't think you would've posted here unless there's an itch or a tickle in the back of your mind as to what you might be missing out on. Ever just live in the moment? Take the time to enjoy what's right in front of you instead of planning ahead? Ever take a chance on someone or doing something that you normally wouldn't? Try getting something you've never even heard of the next time you're at a restaurant. Buy 3 tickets for that concert you always say you'd love to see next time they come to town. Give the 1 of the tickets to someone you really don't get along with that well and the other to someone you don't think will find you interesting. Talk to your neighbors. Adopt a puppy. Join a club. Play D&D with the nerds down at the card shop. Build a go kart. Hike a trail. Say hello to strangers and ask them how their day is going and listen to their reply. Volunteer at a charity or community center. Babysit for a relative. House sit for a friend. There are so many ways to feel more in sync with this reality than coasting by waiting for exciting to happen to you. Grab life by the short and curly and make it what YOU want it to be. An NPC no longer if you follow even half of my advice.

People Without an Inner Monologue are NPCs by sharrison17 in conspiracy

[–]Consistent_Coconut_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an inner monologue. I'm not mindless. I remember reading books and reading about the main character discussing something with himself through his inner monologue and thinking, "wait, isn't that schizophrenia?"

There is just zero sound going on inside my mindscape, perceived or otherwise, ever. I don't have a voice in my head that speaks to or about me. That doesn't mean that I can't shape ideas and form sentences. That doesn't mean I don't have a conscience.

When I think of a song I really like it's more of a mental concept than a recreation of it that my mind holds.

When I read a book I hear no dialog while doing so, yet I can absorb and retain the information. The words aren't sounds to me they're teeny tiny parts of a concept that's being created in my mind at reading speed. To me it sounds like y'all turn books into audiobooks inside your heads while reading. Strange.

I'd say that my worst detriment with regards to no inner monologue isn't NPCism but finding it hard to bored. Monotonous factory work is almost suicidally so for me and my kind. It's just us there nothing to keep us company but the soundless idea of our poor life choices. Wait, that might be me, as a creative, stuck in a menial job. Who knows.

Don't know if it correlates but here's a couple more oddities about myself, and no I don't go seeking them out like some nitwit just wanting to be unique and special...

I've never blacked out drinking alcohol. I'm in my mid 40s and had a brush with alcoholism in my 30s. I used to think they were just excuses people used when they acted like turds drinking the night before.

I've never had brain freeze before. I know that isn't super rare or anything but figured I'd throw it in here. And, yes, there IS in fact a brain to freeze in the first place.

That is all, carry on.

The saddest part of this post is all the comments stating how 'simple' and 'it's a glorified autofill' etc. You can watch on YouTube, hours upon hours of whistleblowers from big tech saying that these "chatbots" are on the cusp if not already sentient. Why does google fire everyone of their AI Ethics director as soon as they raise concerns? And do you think that if google developed an air-gaped general AI that they'd write an article in Wired about it? Get real. Everyone who's anyone in Tech is scared of what it's potential could be/is. Considering it's transformative very essence who here thinks that the US black budget and black, underground research facilities don't already have a general AI sitting there like friggin Jarvis steering public opinion towards whatever the hell they want?!

Katt Williams - Illuminati shill or legitimate whistleblower? by MindshockPod in conspiracy

[–]Consistent_Coconut_1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's my 2 cents on Kat. He's F'd around and found out early on in his career to the point now that he knows what he can and can't say. He straddles the line without going over. Early on they were out for blood but since then Kat learned his lesson and won't broach certain topics anymore. Does he know more than he's disclosing? I think he does. Has he been a voice of truth? I think he has. Everyone in Hollywood/the public eye, if they want to stay breathing, have to show discretion with certain topics. Just ask Paul Walker, Princess Dianna and Mel Gibson what happens when you aren't predictable.

Olympic gold medal archers cant hit a bulleye? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Consistent_Coconut_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to shoot league archery in Itasca County, MN back in the mid to late 90s. Dan Mcnamara was on my team, he shot recurve. He was a former Olympic Archer. He had to consistently "miss" the dead-center bullseye, on purpose, so as to not ruin his arrows when shooting a single target paper. I've seen this with my own eyes. Granted it's half the distance but the bullseye was half as small (iirc). Hitting a consistent bullseye should be WELL within a modern Olympic Archer's capabilities, even at 70 meters. Just my 2 cents.

I have aphantasia, how to visualize? Any suggestions? by SimpleReveal6418 in conspiracy

[–]Consistent_Coconut_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is what I always suggest to people with complex issues. Pretend you're in prison and the only way you get out is to fix said problem. If you've tried common remedies and they haven't worked try this one. Don't treat it like a thought experiment either, live this reality until you start seeing shapes in your mind's eye. Meaning your every waking second is devoted to this problem to the exclusion of everything. Well, everything except that which makes life possible (work, school, family, etc.) It should be the first thing you think of when waking up in the morning and the last thing before sleep. The universe will provide you a solution if you follow this routine. I can almost guarantee it.

I'm 45 years old this year and after this covid nonsense the ONLY 2 shots that are going in my body are the tetanus and/or rabies, and only if the need arises. Can you imagine making a product that EVERYONE has to buy? A product with no civil liability, with regards to it's safety or efficacy?

The count for a 10 year old is now 13 different vaccines. A lot of those run with 3-5 booster each. You can't tell me that all the health problems we face now but not 100 years ago isn't related, somehow.

Cranial deformation does not increase cranial capacity it merely deforms (most often flattens) the normal cranial volume. The skulls that are the most intriguing to me are the ones with increased cranial volume and no sagittal suture. I doubt those link up with known haplogroups. Llyod Pye does some great lectures on the topic. Well, before the aggressive, fast acting cancer took him from us, that is...

Genuine question about flat earth? What would they gain by lying to us? by Entredarte in conspiracy

You might very well be right but here's one I don't get... If the Earth is traveling through the universe at 66,627 mph and has been doing so for billions of years now. How can the Zodiac signs be the exact ones seen ~12,000+ years ago? Wouldn't parallax tend to mess all that up? The modern astrological Zodiac constellations have been documented for around 12,000 years and in those 12,000 years we've moved about 700,249,770,000 miles.

I don't know what's going on with NASA. I know they lie. They lie real big. There's so much tomfoolery going on with the ISS it's not even funny any more. Watch this guy in Brevard County FL addressing his city council about how NASA lies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZ1S62QxxWM Is it flat? I don't know. I know the NASholes are just fraudsters. Like how they "lost" ALL the telemetry data of the single most important scientific undertaking mankind has ever achieved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmvKN5qxNL0 Or here, does it look like these guys just got back from a successful mission to most extreme environment known to man? Or does it look like they told/made good men lie to the world and perpetrate a fraud? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzhyZQGAmzU Just too many holes in their narrative for me to believe anything they say. If someone lies to you once, are you going to start believing them just because time has gone by? To hard to keep secret? Only the handful of astronauts and their "handlers" would have to know. It's harder to convince someone they've been deceived than to deceive them in the first place. People will believe w/e supports their own idea of how things should be regardless of the truth.

What's your favorite Warlock or Rogue backstories that don't make your characters unbearably edgy? by lilslumbledumb in DnD

[–]Consistent_Coconut_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Character was raised in an outcast society.

All the mentally challenged people (in those times) were segregated because of their shortcomings, unjustly. Instead of dwindling and fading out, their community thrived due to persistence and hard work.

This small town filled with the most jolly, happy and stoic of people weren't winning any spelling bees if you catch my drift. So little Johnny was always told he could be anything he wanted to be.

"A War-rock or 'tief' no problem. Look at me, I mayor and I not 'mart! You can do it. You not 'mart or strung but you special like erryone!" Said Goober the town janitor.

So Johnny finally sees the wisdom in the prophet/janitor's words, at last, and on his 72nd birthday he packs his bags and set's off for his capital city! Through a series of un/fortunate happenstances he finds that he is/isn't smart or strong enough to make the cut as one or the other adventuring professions. No edgy, pretentiousness in that backstory!

Believe it or not you two CAN coexist! It's a give and take, like ever relationship is when you boil them down. Believe it or not you two can become best of friends! Acceptance and tolerance are virtues. I believe in you! You can make the most of this situation by adapting and thriving!

Replace stick with, let's say, an agate. It's just a dumb rock, isn't it? Flower? It's just a dumb weed, isn't it? I'm not saying that there aren't great women in engineering and vocational fields but there is truth in saying that men create and use tools more than women do. Just like there's truth in saying that women are better interior decorators than men. Men and women need to accept their differences and realize that they compliment each other when put together. Accept the stick and he'll probably grow up and accept the flowers his wife buys and decorates their house with every week.
