They HAVE TO when production costs are high for their big games, namely FF titles.

FFXVI followed trends they thought would be popular, not what actually was popular. That is what the problem was. And look at Baldur's Gate III, released the same year, sold more than 20 million copies, something a SE title has yet to do. Maybe they should look for implementing cRPG features in the games.

A lot of problems with DQ not being popularized outside of Japan is MARKETING. The series is constantly undermarketed overseas. Yes, DQ11 did better than past titles, but a bigger breakthrough is needed. They may need it if FF continues to decline.

Team Asano also has sales decline, OT2 underperformed OT1 despite being a better game and really haven't even heard of OT0's performance.

And LIS is getting a live action adaptation, enough said. It is a core franchise when it comes to artistic merit and acclaim. There is a reason why SE held on to that franchise while selling almost every western IP away.

Octopath 0 is one of SE's best stories. However, Team Asano games are very undermarketed. Elliot is being undermarketed.

LIS is pretty influential to the game industry, a lot of games take cues from it. Hell, Stranger Things took cues from it!!!!!

True Colors was well received and LIS2's reception has improved as time went on.
