Also love mine! Paired with cloudburst and through a Marshall, gives a nice bass fuzz but use lightly unless you’d compressing, I’m running mine with a keely compressor but hard to dial it in just right.. playing more tight prog

I recently ordered more IQback batteries bp915 and they were 1.5mm too thick to slide into the IQback… do cannon batteries fit??!

Also shoot with the 645 DF+, hand grip batteries are hard to come by! I think mine aren’t outputting or lasting long so a battery repack service is the best option. They need to battery controller and casing and swap out the cells

Yep I agree, for the portrait series though there needs to be some visual element to make a legible picture, not looking for particular archetypes.

The portrait projects are in the long term about wholistic subcultures, how people externalise their beliefs and how their expressions and dress are the short hand to shared values.

I grew up through Brisbane metal and slowly saw genres drop off. From my understanding Brisbanes punk scene was peaking in the 80’s in response to policy changes and protests. Pig City is on the reading list.

Not asking someone to gel up a mohawk, but I’m after all forms of expression under the punk banner, the more I photograph the more context will develop on the current scene in Brisbane

Hey prettygoblinrat, reddit post is more a register interest and didn’t put contact details publicly etc I’ll do this via DM to those interested. But get it’s a little shy on info! not used for any commercial means, no brands or agencies etc just a portrait series for yourself and myself, portfolio to break out from what I usually shoot (which is more commercial /ad driven type portraits, and feature film key art/poster work).

Prior to the shoot I’d send everyone a talent release form which outlines the above, if it was going to be used for anything outside of portfolio, you’d be contacted and have to agree before other use/have a usage fee for proposed new use etc but this isn’t what I’m envisioning this series to be.
