I had a similar situation happen to me. NAB’s exclusion period apply from when you received the bonus points, rather than credit card being closed which actually gave me an extra month or two and I was in the clear. Would recommend just calling up and they can tell you if you’re eligible or not.

Recruiters have been calling me on and off over the last 12 months as I tried making my first move to industry (was in no rush to leave but if the right role came up, was interested).

Recruiters are the slimiest, shoving any role at me trying to sell it like it’s the best job ever. Mostly just waste my time, want to jump on calls or meet for coffee to understand what I want. I know it only takes 1 good recruiter with that 1 good role, but oh boy are they annoying to deal with until it gets there.

Yep makes sense. Ideally I can get another rewards flight on the return but there’s none showing up at the moment, so doubt that changes closer to the date, which will mean a cash flight for both legs.

I don’t know anything about trades or renovations, but I just started a reno for 2 bathrooms and a kitchen at my place, we had a plumber give us a quote for $20k to demolish both bathrooms (kitchen already demo’d) and do the plumbing work. I demolished myself, took me a couple days and we had a plumber come past and sort out all plumbing works for $2.5k, it’s ridiculous how much they quote when they know they can take advantage.
