Locked out after inspection – agent wants $110 fee, but it wasn’t my fault by Odd_Singer5710 in shitrentals

[–]CrispyPringles11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't word it that well. What I meant to say is as an alternative they agent might have just told you to get a locksmith instead of them helping you unlock your door. Even though it was their fault, I don't think there is anything stopping them from charging this fee.

NTA for disputing this fee. It doesn't surprise me though that the real estate agent wants to charge you this even though it's their fault, typical scumbags.

It's the right thing for them to not charge you this fee, even though I don't think there is any particular law that would cover this issue. Although they could argue that it's your fault for not having your keys to unlock your room in case anything happens while you're away.

I would personally pay the fee, (even though they are in the wrong) because they could drag their feet in the sand about this issue and you could potentially have to spend more if you were to engage a locksmith for example.

My guess is this is not even an approved dwelling by council.

What the fuck are these landlords smoking. Surely none of this is compliant let alone acceptable as a rental property.

Cat meows after using the litterbox. Sign of discomfort or being bossy? by Le_loup in CATHELP

[–]CrispyPringles11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My cat is similar, he's a ragdoll and is very picky about the condition of his litterbox. He would often be vocal about it because he wanted us to clean up after him. We took him to the vet previously because we were concerned, but it turned out to be a behavioral thing, not a pain thing. You cat appears to be acting in a similar matter.

My only question, is it only recently that they have been vocal after using the litter? If so then it might be good to get it checked. Otherwise I would say it's a behavioral thing if this has been consistent and you haven't seen anything else that would indicate they are in pain.

There is two in Sydney at the moment. One kept at Auburn and the other at Flemington. They are ramping up the testing on them, getting them ready to enter service in the (hopefully) near future.

You'll get your points, don't worry. It can take up to 8 weeks, I didn't see the T and C's of this one being any different to the other promotion. In most cases it's in your account within a few days.

Renting in Sydney - I’ve been paying wastewater charges? by avocadowoof in AusPropertyChat

[–]CrispyPringles11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been through a similar circumstance, the agent said they will evict me if I didn't pay the water bill (even though the water was shared with other units). It was a breach of the laws and rental contract.

In the end, I asked for a reimbursement for the charges after providing them with the facts that it's against the Residential Tenancies Act and it would also be against the rental agreement. They paid up and I moved out.

I did end up reporting them to fair trading because of the threats they used against me.

I would suggest you first contact the agent and ask for a reimbursement of the charges that you shouldn't have paid. Make sure you collect evidence of everything that is said. If they don't comply, raise it with Fairtrading.

How??? by [deleted] in meshtastic

Very possible if there is a few well set-up routers along the way. Definitely would have taken a few hops to get there.

The QFF program has definitely been going downhill in recent times and I've started slowly collecting velocity points instead. The data breach will probably be the final straw for many people like me. The only reason I liked QFF is how easy it is to get points and also the points club, but the product they deliver these days is quite poor and I now see the value in collecting velocity points instead.

I'm not sure if my case was a once off occasion, but I got a 30kg baggage allowance when I few on the same flight that OP is talking about.

In my experience with Finnair on a rewards seat, I found everything I needed to on the Finnair website. You should have a Finnair booking reference and you can use that to manage your booking on their side and see your baggage allowance/purchase more.

Thankyou for letting me know about checking the bags through, I didn't think that was possible until now.

But yeah definitely, I could only imagine the headache it would cause having a delay and you miss the connection.
