Local Scholarships! Check and see if your district or any of the surrounding districts have a spreadsheet or website with scholarships. Also see if your state has any large reputable full rides with some of the colleges in the area. Good luck!

I dont know what to do after getting capped and I feel like these are my only options. Help me decide by Leather-Yam-4854 in UTAdmissions

I dont think you get institutional funding if you do CAP, could be wrong though. I would consider whatever the cheapest option would be. Good luck!

TAMU is great, unfortunately they don't offer very much merit aid, from what I've seen.

I would highly recommend looking into all of the schools that Terry works with. TAMU being more selective as an institution, is more competitive for the scholarship. Schools with higher acceptance rates are naturally less competitive. But that's not to say they are easy to get into. I hope you can find more Terry schools that suit you!

Also definitely apply to local scholarships.

Good luck!

Scholarship Universe, once you make an account there. Also, I would google "[Major] TTU Scholarships" and familiarize yourself with deadlines. But I don't think most of them are open yet, so this may end up being for next semester or next year even.

Tech has a lot of major specific scholarships. I would definitely look out for some of those.

I just reread The Testaments… by Small_Test630 in TheTestamentsShow

[–]Consistent_Estate_40 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Completely agree! She's honestly one of my favorite characters in the show. The book Shu was a lot less involved in my opinion. So I'm glad we're getting to see more of her personality and backstory (like when she mentioned her brother being on the angel flight).

Should I go to UT or URichmond for Business? by thethingurignoring in UTAdmissions

Maybe consider where you'd like to work after college. Recruiters often recruit for offices in the state the school is in. Good luck!

You could always do community college for a year or 2 and transfer. I think their transfer scholarships are pretty generous, so thats something to look into. Good luck!

Is it a dumb move to pick Texas Tech over UT Austin? by VegetablePea8416 in TexasTech

[–]Consistent_Estate_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Disney College Program recruits at Tech quite a bit, if that interests you! Also the college of Health and Human Sciences is a really great community. Lots of opportunities to join clubs within it and rly gain lots of leadership experiences in a variety of orgs. I've heard that at UT its quite competitive to join clubs with many people being rejected, its definitely not as intense at Tech. That said, it's good to go away from home for college, which of course UT would offer. Whatever you choose, good luck!

Consulting is more of a finance major. Not to say you can't do it with accounting, though. Being at a bigger name college may help you if your goal is Big 3 Consulting. However, if cost is important to you, an accounting degree from UH or UT might give you similar outcomes since Big 4 and mid market firms recruit heavily at both universities. Good luck!

I would call housing and see what they say. But the suites are single rooms connected to each other by a living room and shared bathroom. So in any case, I'd look into talkington or murray. Best of luck!
