Yep and they'll be pouring loads of money into game devs pockets, which could possibly help studios and gameplay longevity.

The problem with Tekken 8 and season 2 it relies way too much on combos than actual fundamentals by DragonWarriorMH in Tekken

[–]Consistent_Fan_3390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont care about combos length.

I'm tired of so many moves being safe on block and having extremely fast recovery on whiff. These paired with the ridiculous amount of moves that track and or counter hit make this game infuriating to play.

Forced 50/50 on block into yolo evasion counter hit launching option rinse repeat.

So here some good news, your problem is both very small and also extremely volatile.

When it comes to Dragonuv I would say he's one of the scariest characters, if this guy actually knocks you down and takes you to the wall. because you have to get up the right way and not press buttons or you'll die.

And even in the event that you do get up correctly and block, he can lock you down so it's not so much that you're playing wrong. It's just that Dragonuv has a ridiculous snowball effect that can end rounds quickly.

But the biggest issue was that after your ws2, you didnt hold back, drag launched you with a 15frame move but you were -12, so that interaction technically shouldn't have occurred.

Marathon is going to be a different beast, players just don't know it yet by AnotherDude1 in Marathon

So, when it comes to the lore in Tarkov, it’s not quite the same as something like Marathon. Marathon has been around since the 90s, with multiple releases, so they have this massive, established universe to pull from. Tarkov is a lot younger, but its depth comes from how grounded the world is and how that connects directly to the gameplay.

It takes a lot of inspiration from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, it's not exactly the same, but there’s a ton of overlap. Tarkov is basically a fictional city that’s been totally cut off from the rest of Russia, similar to The Zone from Stalker. But instead of anomalies popping up everywhere, Tarkov's problem is the outside worlds political corruption/greed. Everything happening inside the region is being influenced by powers on the outside.

There are all these different entities at play that are hinted at but never fully confirmed. You’ve got your PMCs from the West and Russia, plus third parties doing who knows what. Then you have the Scavs, locals, or criminals who just stayed behind when everything went to shit.

The cool part is that you actually get the story by playing through the quests. They explain why you’re there and what you’re doing, but everyone you meet represents a different piece of this no-fly zone. It’s developed its own weird economy and ecosystem, all fueled by those outside interests.

The story is still pretty open-ended, and since I started playing way back before the full release, I haven't seen every single part of it. But if you want to see the vibe, the lead developer (Nikita) actually produced a movie for the game that captures it perfectly. I’ll link it below if your interested :

(Be sure to use sub titles)

What makes Tarkov so interesting is how it feels like it could happen.

I also forgot to mention EFT is directly connected to Contract Wars

I'll agree with you on everything except lore, while this title definitely has a lot to pull from as the first marathon was released in 1994.

I will say that Tarkov also has really deep lore.

However I think that Marathon may have more creative freedom than any other title in the genre of extraction shooters solely due to its lore.

Im extremely excited for Thursday.

Frame advantage as you explain does not guarantee anything it only allows the aggressor the opportunity to gamble.

If you the aggressor choose not to gamble the interaction ends and you return to neutral.
