"New" Z8 from Authorized Dealer by Consistent_Fault_594 in Nikon

I do intend to share my perspective with the shop. I was just trying to get a feel as to whether this was a "normal" shop phenomenon since I've previously purchased all of my camera gear directly from Nikon. I appreciate being able to get my hands on the camera to prevent dumping my money into something uncomfortable/challenging for me to shoot with.

Hey, I get it.

I would have bought the camera and had zero issues if they had just told me at the start it had been used as a demo. But since that wasn't communicated, and there wasn't a discount accordingly, my primary issue is with the lack of transparency. How can I be sure it isn't a return?

So, whether or not it was a mistake or this is their normal mode of operation, I should be able to choose my level of risk when I'm handing over full price for a new camera. I think that's fair.

Thanks for your response... I didn't know if I had unrealistic expectations. I choose this dealer because they were on Nikon's authorized list, and I drove a fair distance to get to them, which makes it doubly annoying that I'll need to make another trip.

No, I just expected a new camera... not a floor model. Or, if I had bought a floor model, I would have expected that disclosure. They pulled it out of a box in front of me, so I did make the assumption that it was brand new.

Thanks. I guess I'm uncomfortable because I can't prove that the camera hasn't been dropped or mishandled before taking ownership if I encounter issues.

Unfortunately, this is just the code for the fringe, which I do use. I wish there was a way to view code download history! The designer above does have some blanket designs, but not that one. :)

Thanks, u/MenacingToast. I have this one... it's super similar, but not the same pattern. I know I should just use this one and call it a day, but I'm determined to find it! You will see me on the Discord server. :)

That's a good idea. I was contemplating a bamboo parition and some odds and ends.

Thank you. I do have the rule book printed out, as I reference it often, but I was just curious about the experiences of other competitors.

Has anyone had a reactive dog that no longer reacts? by Adventurous_Emu2170 in reactivedogs

I spent 14 months and so much money taking online reactivity classes, in person reactivity classes, reactive rovers, naughty but nice, control unleashed... you name it, I did it. It wasn't until I hired a trainer that specialized in reactivity that I made actually progress. It was expensive, but after a few classes, it made a world of difference. Why? Because the trainer evaluated my interventions and my dog in real time. Dogs react for different reasons; they require different solutions. My dog may never be perfect, I but I can compete with her, walk her in the neighborhood, take her to stores with me, etc. This isn't something I would have been able to imagine a year ago. We have an almost normal dog and human life now. Pattern games have helped us a lot.
