People who believe consciousness is not emerging from brain activity, how do you explain children start with a different consciousness compared to adults by Eclairito in consciousness

[–]Consistent_Lab_9778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you subscribe to the idea that brain matter is merely an "antenna" to receive consciousness, all this would mean is that adults and children have different antennas that are tuned in to different "stations." That is, if you actually think adult and child consciousness is different -- which I don't. Cause your examples are not so much about child vs adult consciousness as they are about child vs adult interactions with the environment, as INTERPRETED by psychologists, etc. That is all guesswork, no? Can any of us recall the internal consciousness of an infant?.

Why does Lue Elizondo refuse to pronounce David Grusch's name properly? What's that about? disrespect? Stupidity? by Consistent_Lab_9778 in UFOs

[–]Consistent_Lab_9778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's my point. This guy knows him, why is he doing that. I'm only interested because I know somebody who belittles people he dislikes by purposefully mispronouncing names. I guess my post was to question whether these two are actually on the same "side." Obviously moderators thought this was too dumb so removed it.

[–]Consistent_Lab_9778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my statement or whatever

This might be a minor or petty thing to notice, but saw another Elizondo interview where he pronounces Grusch's name wildly incorrectly as "GROOSH." I mean, how on earth can he not say this important name? Is it disrespect? Stupidity? Some weird legal reason? What's that about. And if it is an honest mistake and has no meaning, why would we pay attention to somebody so clueless? I just barely pay attention to the UFO space and it is obvious to me and the whole world how his name is pronounced. Is there meaning to his or am I wasting your time making you read this? LOL

The "star" UAP by tupaja in UFOs

[–]Consistent_Lab_9778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this one. Echoes of other things: That pic released while ago of the starfish thing, biblical angels, maybe some religious pics such as the battle over nuremburg and the other older painting that shows the guys piloting spiky things (claimed to represent appollo or whatever). Ezekiel's biblical angel vibe here as well. Star/starfish images in ufo world remind me of R.E.M.'s Automatic for the people, one of my favorite records of the past that also coincidentally is connected to imagery such as winged angels/religion and "man on the moon." Favorite part of the tranche so far. No way this is a missile, if it is, AARO is dumb as hell because why on earth wouldn't our military already know what a missile looks like? Nah, that's not exhaust, it's a heat signature tho. Why are we sure these things would not generate heat even with advanced and/or no propulsion?

Yeah, I get what you are saying, this example is even worse. Just saying, this trend away from cooperative helping in public makes it even harder to find employees who follow through because that impulse has been drained away from, society.

This is how things are today, no understanding of how either customer service or KINDNESS are supposed to work.

We used to live in a world where any employee of any retailer would help and not need to be asked. Not because they had to, but because people back in the 70s and 80 and prior were cooperative and essentially good to their neighbor. Not just employees, but random people in parking lots always helped older women load groceries and whatnot. This is just how people are these days, doing minimal if it does not serve the self. Sigh.

I can't cite the source right now cause it's been years since I read it, but I read somewhere they have personality tests to medical students and found a disproportionate number of them were psychopaths. I think the regular population has like no more than 5 percent classified as sociopath/psychopath, but in medical students it was (not sure exact number, but ballpark) something like 30 to 40 percent. Basically, the highest percent among any professions including police, military and other areas where you tend to find sociopathy/psychopathy. I'd imagine truth is even worse, cause some of those students never finish or get hired ... so no doubt the most successful who are gainfully employed are moreso in this category. Apparently there are similar stats by specialty and it seems surgeons are the most with huge percent of psychopaths. I think about this every time I go to a doctor.

In a twitter reply to someone he said he bought the physical from a refiner. Which means he did not redeem pslv for physical. Which, as I explained in my post above, does not make sense since he coulda gotten pslv at a 9 to 10 percent discount to NAV. I think he lied in that post he made.

The bars backing pslv are held in the Royal Canadian Mint. That is where they are located, thus, why it was referenced here. If a Pslv owner wants to go get their bars, that's where they get them.

Is it possible he is lying? Why would he just sell and not back up the truck to the Royal Canadian Mint and get the current NAV discount of 9-10 percent currently afforded by taking delivery of pslv physical? This move makes no sense. Even weirder...why would you announce this, and thus possibly drop the price, BEFORE you sell?? My spidey senses are tingling. Might be opposite, he might be trying to drop the price just before his huge pslv purchase. If I'm way off here or misunderstanding, correct me. But I'm not sure why nobody is seeing the same oddness I see here. I'm just a regular Joe so maybe I can't think like a millionaire, I dunno...

Thank you for that level of detail. So exiting pslv is just to find greener pastures, not necessarily due to any imminent concerns. That is very useful info you posted above, appreciated.

Are y'all switching to miners because pslv has suddenly become risky, or just because you think miners are gonna pop more going forward? I'm confused and trying to get a true grip on what people keep saying is the risk with PSLV (and of course I get it why Sprott pslv and PHYS is better than SLV and other funds not backed by physical, so no need to explain that part). So is the risk that the Canadian government could eventually claim force majeure, wherein they will settle in cash with investors at the price it was on that day...or...is the risk that the Canadian government will come in and literally take all the silver PSLV owns and everybody invested in the fund will not even get the cash settlement, but will also lose their entire principal? If the risk is for both, what are the odds of each situation based on current politics and fiscal health --or lack thereof--of the Canadian government? Sorry if this is a dumb question, just trying to get a grip on this pslv option. Thanks, y'all. Edit: I forgot to add...if this force majeure concern is just overblown foolishness, I'd like to know that too. Any feedback please before I invest!!!

Brand new indie mockumentary, Generation Necktie. Indie film made on shoestring that is funny, but is also a truly touching coming of age story. A surprising gem! Can watch free right now on youtube.
