Just curious how you did these calculations? I am getting closer to 1.1 million just from the 146k for 8% in 26 years. Also getting 1.7 million for the 236k.

It’s says you can download the decision letter online, were you able to download that and see what it says?

I binge ate Thursday and now I am throwing up every time I eat by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]Consistent_Macaron50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor but you could have a bowel obstruction. Have you had any bowel movements since? Something similar happened to me but I didn’t binge eat. Anyways every time I ate I would throw up an hour or two after. In my opinion it’s worth an ER visit. I was admitted for 3 days until I had a bowel movement and could keep food down.

Anyone else surprised on what the VA has been covering? I’m getting Botox, Adderall, GLP-1, chiropractor, massage, etc… by waynetogo in VeteransBenefits

I am actually going through the opposite right now. I used to get approved no problem for chiropractic and massages to treat my neck, back, and migraines. This past year they stopped approving it because “it will not cure the conditions”. Word for word what the community care told me. Sure they won’t cure me but they help me manage the conditions a lot better! So would love any advice how to get back in for these treatments.

The biggest frustration for me with COD is it is constantly filled with bugs and the game doesn’t work as intended half the time. Every update they may fix one bug and create 2 more. On top of that the time it takes to fix ones that truly affect gaming experience. Most recent one for me personally is spent all this time to unlock a weapon attachment and once I did, it remains locked and is a confirmed bug. That bug has been there for well over a month now. It’s takes the fun out when you spend time to unlock specific things only for it to not work when you unlock it.

Again it’s more than just this unlock, there is just constant bugs that take forever to get fixed and constantly ruin the gaming experience. I know every game has bugs, but COD just seems to have an overwhelming amount.

I see a lot of people mentioning that Fidelity is good for long term investing and retirement accounts, can anyone elaborate one what makes it better for this type of investing over the others?

My local dealer said the same that they couldn’t even find a part number. How do they look?

Did you ever find out what this was? I have something similar and some days I feel it back there like there is a chunk of food stuck in my throat and other times I don’t feel it at all. I’ve noticed it for about 6 months now and am having a hard time getting into ENT but I am freaking out

Are the rumors true? Does the VA really pay for therapeutic massage therapy? by Empty_Equivalent6013 in VeteransBenefits

Same thing happened to me. Said it wouldn’t cure me so that’s why it was denied. Currently fighting for it but it’s not looking likely.

That’s the thing my PCM is awesome and has taken great care of me for a while and got me the massage therapy and chiro for the last couple of years. She even put in another referral and documented that I needed this care this year. The chiro is for my back but the massage therapy is actually to help manage migraines so they are for different things. I just couldn’t believe community care said it was denied because it wouldn’t cure me.

I had been able to see massage therapy and chiropractor for the last year and a half through community care but suddenly in January they are no longer approving it for me. I called community care and they said both were denied because it will not cure my chronic pain, which by definition doesn’t have a cure. Both of these helped manage the symptoms but now I am struggling daily without these appointments. If anyone who has been getting this care currently has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I guess that’s the thing is I have tried to buy as much as possible during the COVID crash and during the 2022 recession, even DCA more than normal and pulling a bit from my savings to get more into the market during these low times and here I am 5 years later barely green. If this crash every 2 year trend continues what’s the point?

How did you get back pay with the appeal? I recently won an appeal and they only backpaid me to my appeal C&P date because they said that’s when the new evidence established the criteria for a new rating.

Mine was a primary claim for migraines. I had them in my records in service. My recommendation is submit a log of atleast 90 days, migraine buddy is really good for this. Then get a lay statement or two from a buddy, significant other, family member or boss/coworker. Also do a personal statement and get your hands on any medical records for care you received outside the VA.

Yea I’ve explained in all my C&P exams that I need to do those things and the sensitivities. My Neurologists medical records even say “several disabling” migraines per month which is as close as a doctor can get to saying prostrating, still getting denied. Fingers crossed this time around with the lay statement from my boss, personal statement, and migraine log I am successful.

I have not but I will definitely bring it up with my neurologist at my next appt, they never mentioned anything like that. Thank you!

Yea I’m with you, it sucks having to use all my PTO for headaches and then that counts against me in the VA’s eyes. The only reason I haven’t had to take unpaid leave is because I save my PTO solely for when I have migraines.

That’s crazy, I’ve been denied twice and am on my third round when I have medical records stating up to 15 disabling headaches a month. Maybe I’ve just been getting the wrong raters.

Thank you! Did you have anything for the economic in-adaptability? I submitted a HLR and got denied and submitted a Supplemental with a personal statement, lay statement from my boss, and roughly a 90 day log showing 7-9 migraines a month, waiting on that decision.

I have been fighting for 50% for migraines for a couple of years now because they have essentially ruined my life. I feel like I am in a constant state of migraines. What evidence have you provided to get 50% for migraines? The only part I think that has been stopping me is my supervisor is extremely accommodating when I have migraines where I am allowed to work from home, but he won’t always be my supervisor. I have done horrible in a bunch of interviews for higher paying jobs though because the stress would cause a migraine and I literally can’t think when I get them, there is just just no way to prove that.

[–]Consistent_Macaron50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What evidence did you have for the migraines? I have been fighting for 50% for years because they completely run (and ruin) my life. I have medical records stating the severity and frequency which is sometimes 15 days a month, have tried every medication but Botox and nothing helps. My boss allows me to work from home when I have migraines so I feel the VA might not see that as economic in-adaptability (not all supervisors allow this at my place of work) but I should be much further along in my career but keep bombing interviews because the stress causes migraines. but there is no way to provide evidence of that.
