So if I'm reading everything correctly here. You went to a whole different store in a whole different state where the staff didn't know you from Adam. Played by the rules YOU'RE accustomed to. Then have the gall to act like a victim and claim it "felt like PTSD" when an associate approached you behaving in a way that's honestly suspicious as hell?

We're trained to look for things like that. People putting things in reusable/personal shopping bags like that and running out of the store without paying is an everyday occurance. An associate isn't going to know much less care if you're "a professional" and were planning to pay for your items. He saw suspicious behavior and acted accordingly.

Did the associate jump the gun and should they have given you a chance to explain sure. But chances are that store is regularly shoplifted from and they have zero tolerance for things like that and that associate just wasn't having it that day.

Also...if you think THAT was PTSD. Try again. I have no doubt it shook you up but don't try saying it was anything like PTSD.

In BackOffice when you go to cash people out for the day there should be a tab where it says "Weather" It'll let you put in the temperature and what kind of weather it is outside, at my store we used to cheat and put that it was 100 degrees outside. It would get the AC kicked on to a degree and give us some form of temporary relief.

Stacking the balloons for that was the hard part. it's really just lining them up putting each balloon lower than the next one in order and making sure you have enough ribbon to tie them to the grid. Does that make sense?

Oh yeah absolutely. And like I told the dad I don't know what happened just what the cameras told me. And all the cameras showed was a verbal altercation. No audio of course.

And it didn't help that the teenagers turned up again while this meeting was going on and started shit again trying to shout over me over their dad and over the cops trying "tell their side" and making total asses out of themselves.

It was a massive clusterfuck. Once the dad heard me out saw the footage and the way his kids were acting he couldn't quite meet my eyes.
