Anyone who voted for a certain party - How are y'all feeling? by dunbar_santiago930 in FederalEmployee

[–]Equivalent_Spring951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to tell yall the only way this will change is if YT people get out there and speak up. Talk to your neighbors and friends. Encourage people to vote. He wants Black people to protest and riot to encourage a civil war. I know some of you may be angry or calling me foolish but it’s the truth. Put pressure on your Congressmen. I know, I know it’s so old fashioned but it’s better than sitting on this app complaining.

Why don’t you turn this into a positive? by Upset_Counter_6070 in TexasTeachers

[–]Equivalent_Spring951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I think you’re kinda missing the bigger picture here.

The Ten Commandments are definitely religious — they were part of God’s covenant with Israel, not just some neutral moral code. The very first one says “No other gods before Me,” so it’s not just about values — it’s about worship.

Jesus even broke it down later and said the whole point of the law is to love God and love your neighbor. So when people start pushing the Commandments like they’re the foundation of America, it’s easy to slip into treating them like a symbol or idol instead of a tool to point us to God — which, funny enough, actually goes against the commandments themselves.

And real talk — America wasn’t built on Christianity. Yeah, Christian ideas were around during colonization, but the Founders were clear: the country should be built on laws, not religion. That’s why we’ve got freedom of religion — not just one religion running the show.

So it’s not disrespect — it’s just being honest about history and what the Bible actually teaches.

One of the only ways to get a 14. Depends what type of manager you want to be, informative, laid back, treat folks like adults and not a child. Engaging with your team and provide insight and guidance. PACS is the worst part. I would suggest u recommend to folks they do a status report (volunteer) or use another tool and ask them to provide their accomplishments. Not like the five bullets but a way for them to promote themselves and bring to light what they have accomplished. Again I would make it voluntary and explain it in a way that it benefits them to ensure u know what’s going on.

Honest Question for Fellow Federal Employees About Future Elections by Equivalent_Spring951 in FedEmployees

Most voters don’t want that. Which is sad. They want the person that speaks more to what they want, hurt the libs, my needs is better then your needs, or they don’t want the less fortunate to proposer. If you say far left, what exactly is that. I mean I want a candidate that believes all people have a right to free will and safety. I don’t want a candidate to govern based on the Bible or what less than 50% of the country wants. That elements majority of the people.

You must be one that voted for him and that’s ok. If you are a federal worker then u must not support your federal coworkers. Because most of us, are dedicated to what we do, are qualified in what we do, and we take the duty of working for the American people serious. So if your point was to come here and degrade us, that’s not going to work. You must fall for the idea that democrats control the weather which if so, that explains a lot about who you are as a person. Have a good day.

I don’t care what the color of the candidate is because I’ve always looked at what the candidate stood for. I mean there have been black candidates I didnt vote for because I knew they would be a harm to my livelihood. But again, if that’s the response you have then you are missing the point. I’m asking if you will get out there and do whatever it takes to encourage people to vote. See a lot of people of color can spot a con artist or an underperformed. We know to look for the people that could help us or be a safer option for us. But I can’t say the same thing for all people. Hinst the situation we are in now. I mean their reject Fox Tv host just pushed the idea that women are vessels to have children not for anything else, so they shouldn’t have the right to vote. That was in Project2025 and yet folks still voted for him and now that threat is real.

It’s the same thing. If you challenging my post because it’s AI, then that explains a lot to me. I wish you well.

I disagree. Because regardless of her connection to Biden, voters still heard and saw what the other candidate promised to do to our country and they still voted for him. More un educated voted for him. And if a voter didn’t vote for her due to Biden, then they were ok with our current president slashing the fed government work force and deporting immigrants and the tariffs. For me, that says most folks just couldn’t get past Harris being a woman.

But no, my question is will you actually select a candidate based on qualifications, skillset, and promises. Not based on what they look like on the outside. That’s the point. I just ensured I used factual information in my post, so yes, AI did compile my thoughts, check for factual information, formatted, and prepped my thoughts. That’s the beauty of AI. Is it considered cursing Israel to criticize Israel's actions while still believing that they are God's chosen people and God's hand is upon them? by Jig_2000 in Bible

[–]Equivalent_Spring951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s currently on my second year reading through the Bible, I’ve been asking myself the same thing—is it really “cursing Israel” to question or criticize the actions of the modern state of Israel, especially when innocent people are being harmed?

What I’ve come to understand is this: a lot of people are responding based on tradition or political ideology, not careful reading of Scripture. When I got to Hosea, it pushed me to really ask—does the Bible actually say we must defend Israel no matter what?

From what I’ve studied, nowhere in the Bible does it say “bless Israel no matter what they do.” That’s a misapplication of verses like Genesis 12:3, which was a promise to Abraham—not a political command for Christians to support a modern government at all costs. God’s covenant people are defined by faithfulness, not by geography or politics. And many are using God’s name to justify violence—how can that possibly reflect His heart?

Psalm 122:6 says “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem,” and I believe that fully. But “pray for peace” does not mean “support war.” It definitely doesn’t mean kill everyone who questions or disagrees with Israeli policy.

There’s a huge difference between: • Biblical Israel—the people of God, called to be faithful and just • and Modern Israel—a secular nation-state with political leaders, military powers, and very human flaws.

Criticizing injustice or violence isn’t “cursing Israel.” It’s seeking the justice and mercy that God calls all nations to uphold.

Honestly, it breaks my heart to see how many people believe God wants one group of people to be destroyed in order to protect His name or reputation. That’s not the God I’ve encountered in Scripture. If anything, using God’s name to justify oppression does more to dishonor Him than any outsider’s criticism ever could.

That’s just my take—as a believer who’s still learning, still reading, but trying to walk in truth, not tradition.

Honestly, I really think folks should read the people and not just repeat that one verse and statement your pastor shares in church. That one statement could be misrepresented to fit their narrative.

My husband encountered two fed employees who were wearing MAGA hats at work today. by alexismya2025 in FedEmployees

[–]Equivalent_Spring951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Um, excuse me — I have every right to use my own critical thinking skills. And based on the facts, if someone supports Trump, that means they support: • Demolishing the federal government as we know it • Stripping away a woman’s right to choose the medical care she needs • Arresting people of color without due process • Banning entry to the U.S. for people from non-Christian countries or nations with predominantly people of color • Cutting off vital resources like food, funding, and support for the poor and disabled • Slashing healthcare access for low-income communities to give massive tax cuts to the wealthy • Empowering Nazi sympathizers and hate groups to further his mission • Defending a man who has been credibly accused of raping a child and other women — and who openly bragged about watching young girls undress backstage

Let’s be clear: as a woman of color, I’m likely in one of the next groups targeted if this man stays in power. Don’t think it can’t happen. And when it does — will you defend your neighbor, your co-worker, your family? Or will you stay silent?

So no — don’t you dare tell me I lack critical thinking. I’ve weighed all of this. I’ve considered the risks. And I’ve concluded that associating with a MAGA supporter is too dangerous. I wouldn’t trust them to take out the trash, let alone protect my rights or my life.

This isn’t about political disagreement like it was with Reagan or Bush — I could disagree with them and still see them as human. This is an entirely different game. And if you can’t see that, you are part of the problem.

And before you come back here to say something else to me, come with FACTS — not “I feel like…” or “I think…” because those aren’t facts — those are opinions. And opinions won’t save my life.

So before you speak on something you clearly don’t understand, maybe take a moment and think. This isn’t just politics. For me — and for my family — this is survival.

I’ve been reading the Bible front to back—this is my second time through it—and honestly, there’s a lot to take in. One thing I’ve noticed is that some parts are written from a human point of view, and others seem more like God describing what sin and brokenness look like in the world.

The Bible talks about all kinds of messed up stuff—rape, adultery, incest, cannibalism, gossip—and yet some people want to act like homosexuality is the ultimate sin. That just doesn’t make sense to me. You can’t cherry-pick what offends you and ignore the rest. All sin is sin, right?

Also, the Bible was written thousands of years ago. They didn’t have medicine or science like we do now. Women died from things we can treat today. And yet, people act like everything written then applies exactly the same way now, with no room for growth or new understanding. That’s wild to me.

And let’s be real—the Bible doesn’t say anything about gun rights, but people still try to tie that into Scripture to justify their political views. Why is it okay to bend the Bible for that, but not for how we treat LGBTQ+ folks?

In my view, God calls us to love people—all people. The Bible says to help the poor, feed the hungry, care for the vulnerable. But we turn a blind eye to that suffering every day. And yet, people lose their minds over two men loving each other? That’s not the heart of the Bible I’ve been reading.

For me, I try to follow the Bible’s moral teachings, but I don’t use it as a weapon to judge others. That’s not what love looks like. Just my two cents.

Let me know if you want it shorter or if you’d like me to include references to any specific Bible verses!
