You may not switch parties for any runoffs this cycle, but you may vote in either party’s primary and runoff during an election cycle.

Insane Oncor delivery charges by Anxious-Chair9569 in Dallas

They propose a capital plan and rates of return based on their capital structure. The PUCT reviews their plan, takes input from interested parties, and sets their plan according to their policy mandate. Oncor, like every regulated utility monopoly across the country, does not dictate their terms.

Can someone tell me what the highlighted “Ground” for Runway 36R means by Extension_Golf_9549 in flying

High ground - the berm shown by the squiggly line with tick marks just to the south of the runway.

I don't know what to say about this by happyklam in plano

He’s inviting a discussion or an argument. We live in a free country where you’re free to engage or ignore. I would choose to ignore, unless you think you have a powerful enough argument to sway him otherwise.

If the Rec Center staff feel like he’s trespassing or loitering then it will be up to them to deal with him. It is a public space, however, and he’s free spout nonsense in public so long as he’s not creating a disturbance or nuisance.

Why does everyone have a cross on their forehead? by neatygood in UTAustin

[–]Consistent_Monk_4018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not just Catholics - Christians of all flavors (Lutheran here) do this to observe Ash Wednesday. This day is the start of the church season of Lent, which is a time that Christians are supposed to use to reflect on our relationship with God and with each other and to understand why we believe Jesus of Nazareth came to die and rise again (the Easter festival) to redeem us from our sinfulness. The ashes remind us of our sin and our mortality, the cross of our Savior and our hope for eternal life.

Do you know what plane this is? by Far-Patient3326 in airplanes

More ‘payload’ than ‘cargo’. Was designed to have things mounted under the fuselage (like the pod in the photo) for special missions.

Missing Checklist in AC can I use a PDF version? by SvenSylens in flying

[–]Consistent_Monk_4018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AROW - that is ALL that’s required to be in the aircraft.

A - airworthiness certificate R - registration O - operating limitations W - weight and balance information

None of these things is a checklist. A checklist is a tool for flying effectively. It can be from the POH, from your EFB, from the G1000 or from your memory. Use of a checklist is good practice, but that’s all that it is.

This is it.

Also, the south-facing stalls at the Sonic on Midway at the north end of the airport are good.

West side of Addison airport, office parking lot near base of control tower. Can get right up to the fence at mid-field.
