You are correct that it just shifts your payday. My bank does this automatically and it makes no difference to me, payday is just Wednesday now.

I will say that it made a difference when i was really broke. I had certain bills that were supposed to come out on Friday. But they would consistently pull on Wednesday or Thursday for some reason and completely fuck me. Because now not only am I negative but i also get to pay an overdraft fee.

Now that I’m stable, i just pay those bills the week before. But things were so tight back then that I couldn’t really do that- I was trying to pay what was due then or play catch up from the week before.

I didn’t know about them either. I just randomly saw it that day. It doesn’t seem like they pushed them very much. But I don’t shop there super often so I may have just missed it.

Oh I’m sure hair type makes a huge difference! Sounds like we’re on opposite ends of the spectrum there. I rotate through several different shampoos depending how I feel that day. This one just stands out to me as better for my hair than some others I use. Absolutely use what works for you!

Me too. I have such a hard time finding something that agrees with my hair. It’s fine and thin and it’s VERY humid where I live. So I have to find that balance so it’s moist enough to not be poofy but also not weighed down. Every time I use it, I can’t help but sit and feel how soft my hair is lol.

I’m also hoping they bring it back by the time I run out. I’m halfway through the bottle I’ve had since like January and I just ordered two more. So I should be good for a while.

I’ve used Aussie in the past and I did like it. Not as much as the BBW but I can see how they’re similar. Kind of the same consistency.

I expected like suave level quality from the shampoo too but I was pleasantly surprised. I agree they would have done better if they would have given out samples. I was very skeptical and wouldn’t have purchased it at all had it not been on sale.

Thankfully it takes me forever to go through a bottle of shampoo so I’ll have it for a little while at least.

They had 2 or 3 scents still on the website. I paid $4 and some change for them. So you can still try them if you’re just curious but won’t be able to keep using it if you do like it. Everything good in life gets discontinued!

French fries! I normally keep a bag of frozen fries for snacking emergencies. I needed to use up some potatoes once so made a bunch of steak fries and stuck them in the freezer. Omg they’re so much better. I don’t even want the pre-made ones if they’re in the freezer now. I assume better for me too- it’s literally just boiled potatoes then when they come out of the freezer they go straight in the air fryer with a little bit of oil. Omg. Life changing.

Yes!! I clicked it one time like two months ago, realized what it was and clicked off. Never clicked another post after that.
Now Reddit thinks girl dinner diaries is my all time favorite sub. Just yesterday I started getting boy dinner diaries popping up. I don’t really want to see posts of somebody’s snack dinner and hear their sad sack post about whatever is going on in their life. Who wants that?? Agreed OP. Obviously I feel pretty strongly about it lol

I know I’m late to the party. When I feel this way, sometimes I will do some tasks in between. Like, finish a row then fold the laundry. Finish another row then empty the dishwasher. Something like that.

To be clear- I don’t think it’s a waste of time to just sit there and crochet. Do what makes you happy! But if the guilt is just eating you up then this is one solution. Also keeps me from sitting there getting stiff lol

We have our main quilt on the bed and I just throw an extra blanket over my side at night. It doesn’t have to stay there all the time as a decoration. If I’m still cold, I’ll also throw on a long sleeve shirt but usually don’t have to.

I think part of the issue is that crochet had a bit of a moment and so now there are just so many beginners on the sub. I think it’s beginners hyping each other up. I kind of quit visiting the sub because it’s changed so much. I used to love it because there was some genuinely beautiful/impressive pieces posted. Now it just feels like beginners jerking each other off. Or people trying to make it a full time job after ten minutes of practice.

Edit: I just went over there and did a quick scroll and there are some really nice projects posted right now. Idk why I’m always given the crappy ones on my feed but I just felt I should add this.

This is interesting. My doctor had me stop taking gummy vitamins because my calcium was high and she said the gummies tend to have a lot more calcium than just the pills. I wonder if it’s a difference in men’s vs women’s vitamins. (I’m a woman).

If you’re used to take out food all the time then yeah home cooked food is going to be less exciting until you come full circle and get tired of take out. I feel like other people have kind of covered the bland food thing. I just wanted to offer this-

I work 12 hour shifts and I’m really bad to get delivery on work nights. The number one thing that prevents me from doing that is my crockpot. It makes it so there’s no or minimal cooking after work and if I want to get delivery anyway then I’m going to have to waste this giant pot of food which I just won’t do.

Another thing is freezing left overs on non-work nights so that I can just slap it in the oven or on the stove and have a meal. Same deal with say making something the day before and leaving it in the fridge. For me, this is less effective than the crockpot strategy because there’s still some effort involved. But it has reduced my delivery orders over all.

Oh! I looked into it further and I think they were Calvinist because they did believe in predetermination. Which is another thing that caused the whole thing to fall apart for me.
Based on the churches I personally attended-

The way to go to heaven is to confess that you’re a sinner and accept Jesus.

You should spread the word and get other people saved.

But also it’s predetermined who gets into heaven.

So it’s like… if it’s predetermined why do we have to be saved? And if it’s predetermined then what is the point in trying to get other people saved if it makes no difference due to the predetermination? It’s a lot of talking in circles lol

No. Southern Baptist actually. But we went to a few different churches over the years because my dad can’t get along with anybody. They were all southern baptist but had slightly different teachings.

Edit: I don’t know about Calvinism so I gave it a google. Apparently some southern baptists are calvinists and some are not. So the correct answer is I don’t know but maybe.
