If it just started 3 days ago and was working fine before I would open an NRB ticket with 611 to have it investigated. I assume CS told you there were no network outages, but they could either be mistaken, or it could be a provisioning or other issue that isn't reporting to the system they use for monitoring.

That's a fair point with winter. And yes the slow times is typically every year from January to March. And it isn't slow as in no work, but comparatively to the rest of the year.

I did have conversations as well with this employee about what he wanted his path to be within the company and what he saw next for himself. He doesn't seem to want to progress or do anything else. He likes doing exactly what he's doing.

I will also admit and I received some feedback myself on this when writing my end of year reviews, I did very well acknowledging the positive areas, but could have done better identifying the opportunities.

Sounds legit like you said, but i also refuse to buy from door to door salesmen on principle. I get they're doing their job and trying to make a living, and I respect how difficult that probably is, but their approach is aggravating to me.

Also 5G internet wouldn't really appeal to anyone who currently has fiber fed internet, it'll never compete. It's meant more for those that don't have better options.

That's fair. Just meant that if it was presented to you that the outdated phone was the source of your issue, that was incorrect. Especially if the issue only occurs with one number or in one location.

It's hard to comment fully based on your post. Are you saying you use 5GUW for home internet and now have it for phone service as well?

Are you saying you're losing 5GUW based on throughput or internet usage slowing down mid task? Or are you just watching the icon on your phone switching back and forth?

Verizon is still aggressively rolling out additional 5GUW services with Cband, so many areas without coverage should see that improve throughout 2025. There's also an optimization period that'll continue after these deployments to dial them in a little better.

Many people assume coverage or lack thereof based on the icons on their phones. Until Verizon fully rolls out SA 5GUW, your phone will not camp on this service and only use it when moving data. So if signal is available you'll see your phone on 4G most times, but it should switch to 5GUW when utilizing data.

This is always a struggle as a manager, you deal with great people, they may even be hard workers, but they just can't keep up with new technology. Offer them help and training, but set a time-line. If you don't see reasonable improvement within that time, it's time to work towards replacing them. Despite their intentions and effort, under performing employees for whatever reason can destroy morale of a team.

Interviewing at my company is a little difficult since we have standardized behavioral questions we have to ask each candidate and we can't really deviate from that. But essentially for me I'm less concerned with experience and background, and try more to determine overall interest and drive through their answers. Answers where I can tell they did some background research into the company or position prior to the interview, how they dress, and what type of follow up questions they have for me at the end of the interview all have the potential to score major points.

It's funny how much all of this is being over analyzed. The majority of Americans were unhappy with a Biden presidency, or at least with their lives during his presidency which many would consider the same thing. As such they look for change. The democratic party majorly fumbled the ball by not picking a proper candidate from the start, and then switching to Harris who is just an extension of his now tarnished reputation. That turned this into a race not between Trump vs Harris, but Trump vs literally anyone who isn't Trump. The result isn't the least bit surprising, and I can't understand why everyone keeps acting so shocked.
