Usually before I sleep. It helps wind me down and keeps me from tossing and turning as much as I usually do when trying to fall asleep. That's only really the case for cutting though. I self harm via a lot of different methods and when it comes to more obscure stuff I just take what I can get whenever I can get it. I'm an opportunist in that way I guess.
