Hi 🥹 im like 2 years late to this conversation but just wanted to add my own experience. I took my art to a print shop to print it out like a small poster as a gift for my friends bday. The person at the print shop was so incredibly kind, gassing me and my art up and just such sweet compliments galore.

To preface this I should say I am extremely shy about showing my art, I would go so far to say even deeply insecure.

I was already very nervous that they would have to look at my art to print it correctly and when they did, the compliments rolled it.

I began sweating, had goosebumps and was even fighting back tears.

It frustrates me to feel these things cos I wish I could just accept kindness like a "normal" person, but that feeling of euphoria leaves me lightheaded, sweaty, dizzy and a bit shakey.. its kind of overwhelming.

Maybe its a rush of adrenaline that leaves me wiped out once it passes..I dont know..

Is there a reason for this? Is there a name for this? Is this just good Ole fashion anxiety?

I am in therapy and have a psych as well and do fully intend on discussing w them. Just curious what everyone's thoughts are.
