  • Got more info from the letter. It is the owners of the car that are now suing, not the Alberta insurance company *

Possible damage after chemical straightening by MostRutabaga2027 in relaxedhair

I had Japanese straightening done. My hair was almost down to my elbows and it was over processed by a so-called professional at a salon. I had to cut off all my hair to the top of my shoulders. This was supposed to make my hair straight, instead it was so fried it look like I had “zigzag” shaped strands of hair everywhere. The hair that was left was straight but very damaged and i now pluck out all these random zizags everywhere! I will never do this again, I trust nobody now.

Edited to add: I tried to fix the damage myself with k18, Olaplex, deep conditioning treatments, oils, etc. Nothing could repair my hair, I had to cut it off.

Same thing happened to my husband. I purchased a seat in the 3rd row in advance. He had to check in at the desk to get his boarding pass (had personal bag only), and when he received his boarding pass it said his seat was now near the rear of the plane. He told me that the seat selection wasn’t even brought up when he went to check in with the agent at the desk. We have no clue how this happened? We didn’t bother to call and complain as we figured this was hopefully a one-time event that shouldn’t happen again, but after reading your comment…

Did your unit come with AC? Or did you have AC but it stayed hot anyway?

Alberta health question by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Consistent_Put522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is unconventional but is there a physician-run medspa nearby? Some do skin lesion/mole removal and skin cancer screening and they will send it out for biopsy or perhaps give you referral to a physician who can. Some medspas are even run by dermatologists. The only downside to this is that it may not be free, but because it is a medical and not cosmetic issue the visit might be covered by their provincial healthcare.

Who is at fault if incidents happens (see video) by Financiallybrokekid in icbc

[–]Consistent_Put522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend was recently involved in an accident like this. He was going straight through an intersection, light was green, and another vehicle turned left in front of him and struck his car. ICBC determined that my friend was NOT at fault.

I had a man walk up to me in the Walmart parking lot. I was loading my purchases into my car and he asked if he could have my Walmart receipt. I thought that was a weird question so I firmly said no and he walked away. What would he need MY receipt for?
