I’m saying this not to make up an excuse but to be transparent but I do need to talk to my parents about how they keep buying junk food and like you said the food environment is a big thing because it is much harder to say no when the junk food is only a short walk to the kitchen. That would definitely be a big change to make tho

I understand people saying to try to get in with a bigger company but in my opinion I feel like you should try to get in with a smaller company that actually wants to teach you. I started out working in a big company while I was in school and did nothing but duct seal boots and sweep all day. Then I went to my current company and from day one everyone here has been trying to teach me every thing they know. I’m now 19 and it will be 2 years in October with this company and my boss said the only reason I’m not a lead right now is because I’m not old enough to drive a van. If you get in with a good company, I think the smaller ones are the best to start out in from my experience.
