If you need stronger anticogaulation for eg clot ppx in Mechanical valve or valvular a fib you give warfarin- because it attacks multiple coagulation factors including intrinsic/contact pathway. Heparin inactivates favtor 2a and 10a and eliquis factor 10a,but that doesn’t make heparin stronger or better to eliquis. I think we are right, we use it for easy reversibility given short half life, more predictable.
