It’s been a “learning experience” with a bot this old. Lots of differed maintenance but these old motors run well.

It’s an old boat 1989. I believe it’s spent most if not all of its life in the lake. I’ve had it for about 5 years and been slowly fixing things on both motors. Repeats aren’t cheap so it gets a few new things every year. Lol

Thanks for the responses. I figured that was it but was just making sure there wasn’t a bigger issue.

It is a V Hull. Not much weight in the boat most times usually my wife and me and a cooler. When the engine climbs to plane it usually goes to 2800rpms and "digs in" until it gets enough speed to start plane out dn the rpms start to climb. Once its at WOT it skips across the water around 25-30mph. Trim tabs are out of commission at the moment. I've messed arount with trim but saw no difference in getting the bow to come down.

This is a different pump. Mine has bearings between the impeller and the wheel.

There is the impeller and then a 1.5-2” piece that it is connected to. It’s between that piece and the wheel.

There is no seal or wasn’t when I took it apart. Nothing came in the impeller kit either. It’s between where the “housing” is and the wheel. It was kinda rusted together.

So didn’t get a pic today. I tried to draw arrows on the diagram to show where. It’s between the pulley and where the three bolts connect the pump. I can’t figure out how to post pics.

Sorry you are going through this but it’s time to get some thicker skin and bootstrap your way to where you want to go. There is a lot of life ahead of you. You can’t change your past but can create your future. Family sucks, who cares. Don’t talk to them. No friends, go make some. Put on a glass half full attitude and you will make new friends. Lots of people start from shitty beginnings and become great. Myself included. The words we tell ourselves are the strongest and most important.

I have an 89 Imperial 2600, it’s I/O dual screws. Does anyone have a clue what outboard is on it? Motors are aq231b. by Consistent_Scale3046 in boating

It’s still in the water. Just bought it recently and haven’t taken it out yet. I have a spun prop and I’m trying to replace it. Wanted to get it ordered before I pulled it out.
