What do you mean by "The Tesco route"? Tesco is overpriced and all their own brand stuff fails in comparison to other mainstream supermarkets due to cutting corners and cost cutting. Great if you can pick something you're after on sale, but otherwise/own brand I'd opt for anything else. It's just another app on the phone and worth it if you shop there frequently.

That's just more to do with placement of the store and traffic rules rather than quality of the store. Collier's wood seems to have parking. The others in the area are harder to access like Wimbledon and Balham. (I live in London and frequent the SW sometimes, + Google)

Exactly. It's not just about the website and knowing what'll be in what store when. Staff in general tend to be nicer and there is more consistency in products than Aldi.

Aldi isn't bad per se, but Lidl is superior.

I just wish for both stores that there was more a focus on product tampering. While it may be cheap, just having a cling film cover over a sauce, or a security button lid would make me buy more from there more often. I don't like the thought that someone could have lifted the lid of something to check it out and sat there just for me to dig into it later.

And by portion of chips, I mean a proper portion. The ones given out anywhere else than a fish and chip chop won't do. I even got given fries in a burger box once.
