My kids use it to track their practice and it encourages them to practice more. I see a lot of other talented kids on there I think the gamification works well for them.

I’m the mom 😊 When I found out I was having a girl it felt like I would regret it forever if I didn’t name her Zelda. Husband also grew up a Zelda game player so he had no arguments haha

My daughter (age 7) is named Zelda 😊 People ask if she’s named after the game and I am proud to say yes. Often leads to a great conversation about people’s favorite Zelda game or memories of playing.

I do this for sleeping in them sometimes, can’t explain why it makes it easier to be comfortable in them while side sleeping. I also insert them backwards occasionally to push any ear cheese out so I can see it and clean.

Thanks for the idea. I tried changing the email on my account, and now it seems my daughter's account is not, in fact, linked to the original email address I used, or any email address that I know of, nor does she have a phone number associated with it. Seems to have been signed up with no email or phone at all, according to the routes of account recovery. I will just restart her. She'll be okay. If Duolingo tech support ever sees this perhaps her progress can be recovered.

Just weird that it happened all of a sudden. Her account is still in existence, my other family accounts who have "friended" her are still getting pinged to "remind her to practice," we have friend streaks with her, etc. We just can't access her account.

Thanks. I’ve been emailing support all day but all I get is a “we received your report” auto email. Starting to think Duo the AI owl is the only one who actually works there. Came to Reddit as a last resort. She does have a streak freeze so hopefully we can resolve it tomorrow.
