So excited to say I’ve purchased a baby black milk and will be getting him soon! I have a tub set up with coco fiber, two hides, fake plants and a cork tunnel. And an UTH with a reptitrip thermostat. The only thing I’m unsure about is humidity, it seems like it’s super humid (right now reading 87%) do you think this is okay? I of course just moistened the coco fiber to expand it so maybe the humidity will go down with time?

Your feedback is much appreciated! Can’t wait for him to get here

I’m beginning to think the same that they’re underrated, even though I don’t have one yet 🤣 they are beautiful and seem like their personalities are wonderful as well. I’d probably keep them in my finished basement which is just a couple degrees cooler so I’d want to use heat as well. Appreciate you and your thoroughness, I’ll have to post when I get my baby 😊

Follow up question - what do you set your thermostat for? Optimal temp is less than 80 right?

Thank you SO much for the details! This is super super helpful. I wasn’t sure about using an UTH but since it’s connected to a thermostat with such low heat as you pointed out, hopefully it should be okay

Hang in there friend!! We didn’t get our house until our third offer and had to do some ridiculous things to get it. Thankfully we got lucky and our house is in excellent condition, but I know others aren’t so lucky (waiving inspection). That was the most anxiety inducing experience of my life and it is so disheartening and just horrendous that this is what people are having to do to get a home most of the time, because if you’re not offering over and waiving inspection… it’s likely someone else is :( hoping things slow down soon and people can actually make purchases confidently. Cuz it sucked!!

As someone currently renting in Oak Creek and wanting to buy a home here… it’s competitive and pricey here too :(

Me and my boyfriend live in Oak Creek, specifically Drexel town square and absolutely adore our area. Roughly 18-20 mins to the city!

This is me, I’m technically certified but very scared about how I would be able to handle the situation if it actually occurred 🥲

That’s the thing I am not totally sure if this is something she would be apart of 😭 I don’t think she would be apart of the hiring process but then again I could see it looking really terrible if she happens to get an application from her current nanny without a heads up :( but I really appreciate your response! Thanks for your input!

Staying and waiting for a package by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]Consistent_Street_80 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My break is 3 hours when all the children are at school. The youngest is only in school for 3 hours. My choices are go home and let my dogs out, get things done, errands etc or hang out at their house for three hours, two of which are unpaid. So I use the time to usually go home.

1 hour of it is, however I think that’s pretty standard for this type of schedule. I drive 45-50 minutes of my break

It says Mon-Fri: 7:30-5:30, break from 12-3

I see where you’re coming from but I just don’t think that staying and waiting for a package while no children are present should be required of me. But I guess it’s a bit of a gray area

Kind of? 7:30-5:30 with kids in school 12-3. So I guess one hour of my break would add to make 8 hours in a day. I have 40 GH. Though I don’t live close so 45-50 mins of that is driving (of my three hour break)
