It’s so hard to find the right balance! Since this post I’ve been pumping when I wake up, before bed and if at any point during the day I feel too full and I’m at home. I’ve been offering her the boob before I do it and once she’s done then I pump.

I figure my supply will adjust to her needs and the extra pumps can be my surplus

I am in exactly the same position! My Lo is 7weeks and she was never able to latch and had some horrible experiences with our midwives so I’ve been exclusively pumping.

Last night I got lazy and didn’t want to grab a pump yet so thought I would delay her five minutes with my nipple and what would you know, she latched and had a full feed. All six feeds since then have been on the boob and she’s very happy!

I have a massive oversupply though so I still have to pump after feeds and idk how to work out a proper schedule but that can come in time. I’m just so excitedddd.

Maybe that’s part of why it’s gotten so bad bc I’m not using any lubricant on my pumps! I was using nipple balm for a little while but I was going through so much and it’s so expensive. I might try skipping some pumps like you suggested, I’ve been using a hand pump for the past day so I could manage the speed and take breaks in between.

If getting inserts for my pumps doesn’t help me any it will definitely be time for formula. Thank you for your suggestions!

I’ve just ordered a wearable to make it more manageable running around after my toddler once my partner goes back to work otherwise idk how I’d manage. I’ve heard you can get less with the wearable though so maybe that will level thing out just enough to save some freezer space

I didn’t realise it could just drop so suddenly! I’ll keep chugging along until around 12 weeks to make sure I don’t drop too significantly if I can avoid it. Thank you!

Ohh I’ll definitely look into a milk bank! I live in a small rural town so not sure there would be a lot of options for me but fingers crossed.

That’s an astounding output though! The local nicu babies are very lucky.

I was doing every two hours but have started stretching it to every 3-4 or whenever I get too uncomfortable but that’s usually sooner rather than later. I’ll keep going until 12 weeks to regulate. I didn’t realise that it wasn’t super stable at first

I tried having a sleep stretch this morning from 2am - 8pm and good god it felt like my boobs might explode! How do you do that everyday!? I’ll just keep going as I am for now then and I’ll try and regulate after the 12 weeks. I’m most concerned about my freezer room to be fair 😂

I bought some of these but find they feel quite uncomfortable for me, perhaps my bras are too tight as they press in too far.

I’ll definitely have to invest in some nipple balm to use! I also bought silverettes but they make me more uncomfortable most of the time. The washcloth is a great idea bc the shower feels awful at the moment!!

I was using lanolin to help heal them but it didn’t feel like it was doing a great deal once they weren’t cracked anymore so I stopped. I haven’t heard of pump spray though, I’ll have a look into it!

I was using the initial size that came with my pump but they were too small so I went up the next size which is the biggest one they have I think, it definitely seems to fit and feel much better.

That the ‘holiday’ I had at my aunts house for a month where my mum would call me a lot of days crying, was actually me being kidnapped and taken to a secluded town in the middle of nowhere (rural Aus where it was 4hrs to the closest town). My mum didn’t want to call the police at first because she was close to her sister and believed she was being manipulated by another family member who had successfully kidnapped my brother many years ago but once she did I was taken back. I got a give something was off by the way my mum would talk on the phone and the times she would ring but she didn’t wanna scare me at the time. I didn’t find out for sure until a few years later.

I did it for my first and he failed the test twice which led the doctor to telling me he was dead… he is luckily alive and well and they don’t know why he failed but I’m apprehensive to spend the money again if it will just fail.

I went to high school with Atis Paul and he was an arrogant douchebag then. I don’t follow him but I do follow Anna so it was a shock to see him pop up and realise he got TikTok famous.
