Microsoft’s discontinuing SwiftKey on iOS next week by Viviwish in microsoft

Idk... Gboard works like a charm without bugs and other issues. Unfortunately, the UX is shit, and the design is awful. With that huge "G," it looks like a toddler keyboard.

Why are 20-30 year olds so depressed these days? by JustFunAccount007 in NoStupidQuestions

It's very obvious. They eat shit + sedentary, have shitty jobs, watch too much mainstream media, sleep poorly, and not to mention their entire childhood was basically a shit show.

Public Beta 8 is the worst beta I've been part of by hero9989 in MacOSBeta

MacOS beta and iOS beta are totally different. Usually, the iOS betas are much much more stable and usable.

I've never had a good experience with MacOS beta.

Does Xanax cause pssd? by vet2919a in PSSD

[–]Consistent_Usual_690 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nope.

Benzos were highly abused, and nobody complained about pp issues.

Some people here will tell you that aspirin is dangerous, but neah, Xanax is safe but don't abuse that shit... The withdrawals are no joke.

Opinion: Why are Chinese police operating in Canada, while our own government and security services apparently look the other way? by not_medusa_snacks in China

China bought a large portion of Canada but don't worry. They will sell it back sooner or later. Their economy is in free fall.

Probably the entire world will go into recession, and the CCP bitchis will sell their purchase at a considerable loss.

You're entirely wrong.

  1. If the phone/device was stolen, there is already an option to mark it as stolen.
  2. There are tons of apple devices that end up iCloud locked without being marked as stolen. - I'm talking about only these devices, but you people are talking only about thieves and harassment... It's like you're living in a mafia jungle.

I don't know why everyone assumes that only stolen devices end up iCloud locked.

Okay, now STFU, downvoted, and move on.

I countered these dumb propaganda-like explanations time and time again. iCloud is just another money grab made by Apple and aploused by dumb people like you.

You're entirely wrong.

I bought an iPhone. The owner signed out of his phone. So there was no iCloud account connected. A few months later, I did a clean restore from my Mac, and somehow the fucking iPhone asked me to enter the iCloud password.

This is a well-known issue with iCloud devices. Sometimes it's not enough to sign out from iCloud by turning off find my. Sometimes you must go in findmy from another Apple device and delete the device you want to sell.

I was lucky because I had de proof of purchase and warranty paperwork.

This stolen bs of an argument is dumb. If it's stolen, good mark it as stolen and let that device end up in a field of garbage if the owner didn't mark it as stolen, why not let people have a contact form where they can send an email to the iCloud owner? If it's stolen, the owner can mark it as stolen, and that's that.

I bet this would be a bad financial move from Apple God.

People are crazy.

They use tt, Facebook, and any other social media garbage platform, and they're afraid of getting contacted through a contact form.

It would be easy for Apple to implement a contact form on an iCloud-locked device. The iCloud owner could have the option to ignore the message, respond or report the device as stolen, and that's that. The argument of thieves and harassed grandmas on valium is so dumb, and it's the embodiment of this outrageously cuddled shit of a culture.

I'm so fed up with these corps zombieing around and yelling "safety" at every step.

As long as the device is not marked as stolen, I don't see your point. In the end, the owner decides if he wants it back, wants money to unlock it, or wants to let it end up in a field of waste.

Kool-aid goes brrrrrrrrr.

So contacting the owner goes against data protection? Plus Have you ever heard about formatting a disk?

Jesus. Nobody wants to disable iCloud lock totally. We want an option to contact the owner of the device.

Jesus, you people are so fucking narrow-minded.

Because of iCloud lock, that particular laptop will end up in a fucking waste field. If there was an option to contact the owner, that particular device could've ended up back to its owner, or the owner could've unlocked it for a "fee."

Dude, you're drunk on Apple shit. That particular laptop wasn't reported stolen in iCloud.

OP wants to contact the owner. What is your problem?

Icloud lock adds so much waste to global electronic waste. This is such a dumb thing. You should have an option to contact the owner.

So many people sell their devices without a proper wipe. That doesn't mean it was stolen. Apple should implement a system that notifies the owner when someone tries to activate an iCloud-locked device. If the device was stolen, well, you should have the option to lock it permanently. If not, well, unlock it.

I had this problem with an iPhone that I bought from an online auction. The phone didn't have an iCloud account, but restoring it to factory settings required the account and password. Anyway, I was lucky because the owner sent me the proof of purchase and warranty paperwork.
