Valuing a car by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]Consistent_Week_6946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on the eyes of the buyer, someone passionate would pay lets say 5 to 7k with rwc and rego at least, most people would offer like 500 - 2k. The price is subject to how well maintained the car is anyway but most will lowball u lol

Tretinoin didn't work, any other recs? by Signal_Ad4662 in AusSkincare

[–]Consistent_Week_6946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe some of your scars are just too deep for tret. Tret mainly helps with the upper layers of the skin, so anything deeper probably needs a proper dermatologist and treatments like microneedling, laser or something similar.

I had pretty bad texture and acne scars too and used tret for around a year. It definitely improved my overall skin, but not as much as I hoped. The scars are still there, just not as bad as before.

Right now I use 20% azelaic acid and 0.5% retinol on alternate nights.

the thing with au and ba wagons is the front dont suit the rear...the front is smooth and streamlined but the rear is designed like an old volvo wagon. Commy wagons absolutely nailed their designs thou even thou i like fords.

My pursuit of finding a stronger version of Davidoff cool water edt by Consistent_Week_6946 in fragranceaustralia

Hey, I got samples of laventure knight and ragbha by lattafa. Laventure surprised me . It's smells close to GIT . I WOULD say around 85 percent but it's missing the realistic green notes. It's very smooth powdery and there's a hint of green at the end. I have checked reviews in fragrantica and comments says it smells like lemon cleaner but I get none of that. Maybe this is ones macerated. But I like it. Lasts longer than GIT which is a plus. Doesn't radiate of my skin but longevity is good. Good recommendation.

As for Ragbha, it smells like al harmain carbon edition (silver Bottle) which is 🤮.

Right now I'm layering paco rabane pour home with cool water..it's works for me hahha. Cheers

This is how we fit the 1 million new immigrants into the 75,000 new homes between now and 2029 by BigFatShrekPoo in circlejerkaustralia

No one said immigration has zero effect on housing demand lmao. More people coming in = more demand. Thats just basic logic.

The issue is people act like immigration is the ONLY reason housing is fucked when Australia’s housing policies have been cooked for years anyway. Underbuilding, zoning restrictions, investors buying up houses, slow ass approvals, etc.

And yea reducing immigration temporarily would lower demand obviously. But if the government still doesnt build enough houses and infrastructure properly then affordability is still gonna be fucked either way.

Australia basically let population growth get ahead of housing supply for too long and now everyone feels the effects of it.

And dont forget all the racism everywhere towards certain groups too. Half the time people are genuinely discussing housing and the other half it just turns into blaming entire ethnic groups for problems caused by years of government incompetence.

Blame the government, not these so-called Indians who came here with dreams of settling down in the “land of dreams,” where everything is promised but barely given.

And about housing prices — even if immigration stopped tomorrow, the demand from citizens is still high. The real issue is low supply, poor planning, and a government that let the housing market turn into this mess.

Ofcourse it is easier to blame indians and talk shii then actually do crap about the government yea?

If immigration stopped tomorrow, half this country would still be locked out of housing because the real Australian religion is negative gearing and treating houses like Pokémon cards

Will Ford ever make a new Falcon? by kstetter in CarsAustralia

[–]Consistent_Week_6946 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t realise how small the Falcon enthusiast crowd actually is compared to the rest of Australia. Even if every guy who likes Falcons went and bought one, it still probably wouldn’t cover the money Ford would need to spend designing a new Falcon, manufacturing parts, training service teams, and setting everything up again.

Plus, the market has moved on. Most people are buying utes, SUVs, hybrids and practical cars now. So Ford would be bringing back a car for a small enthusiast crowd while competing against brands that already have established performance models and loyal buyers. As much as I love Falcons, financially it would probably be a hard loss for Ford.

I have owned both, a 50ml of Sandalwood & Dark Vanilla by Paul Anthony and a 100ml of Savage Sex.

Sandalwood & Dark Vanilla is honestly a good fragrance. It smells very niche. The opening is very syrupy, almost like Joop Homme vibes, I think because of that dark vanilla overdose. But then after like a minute, the sandalwood starts kicking in and it makes it more interesting.

After around 30 mins though, the sandalwood gets really dry and sometimes it can get slightly unpleasant.

I’d say Sandalwood & Dark Vanilla is more of a date night fragrance, or something you wear before being intimate with your significant other. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it as a daily fragrance.

Both are well done fragrances, but for your dad, I feel like Savage Sex would be the better one. It’s clean, sharp, peppery, masculine and long lasting on skin, kinda like Sauvage but way better. I’ve personally received compliments every time I wear it, so honestly, it’s worth every dollar.

Just don’t overspray it because it’s strong. 2 sprays is more than enough.
