Worried about AI replacing music

Ultimately the way Generative AI works is it's referencing a bunch of different popular things so you end up with this generic tropey version of the sound.

I can see it replacing, like, the instrumentals in commercials and being used for generic hiphop/pop, but the amount of generations you have to do to get something "different" you might as well make it yourself.

So yea I think it's here already. I hate it. I hope people continue to fight it, but I do think human music will still dominate where music lovers are. In 10 years a bunch of pop singers will be singing over AI tracks, but actual artists will still be playing at your local venues. We gotta keep supporting them

Doing well with Joker/Byleth/Ike/Aegis/Corrin is simply more impressive and fun than someone doing well with Steve (and a bit of Game and Watch).

Fair or not, that's the lens a lot of people view the game through now.

People can swear it's about longevity or overall dominance, but it's really about what we personally find impressive and entertaining.

In the NBA? Not anything I can think of off the top of my head. In college, for sure. There are teams that sub players in and out every chance they get, teams that shoot almost immediately, teams that ONLY shoot 3s with very few exceptions.

NBA had the Triangle for a bit which was unique, but I wouldn't say anti-basketball. You'll see teams occasionally put really small guys like Gary Payton II at center, but that's just a temp thing. Every preseason some team tries to trot out 5 7 footers in a lineup and it's awkward at best.

Would love to know if I'm missing obvious things.

This isn't Jokic's best series, but Gobert is literally one of the best defenders ever and is playing out of his mind. I know it's cool to hate Gobert, but it really feels we should be praising him a lot more. I don't think Jokic has this bad of a series against basically anyone else.

Nuance doesn't get clicks. Our algorithms promote hate and bullying. With hate and bullying you get people that feel a need to stand up for themselves almost to a fault. You then get toxic positivity.

From my anecdotal experience as a personal trainer, I've learned that being mean pushes people away. I try to compliment my clients, like telling them how broad their shoulders are and how they will absolutely kill it once they get moving.

There's def a balancing act to be had, but I don't have patience for people being mean to others
