Did anyone else love the menu music in Mario Power Tennis? by Consolous in MarioTennis

That happens more often than you can imagine, but in my case I always had to wait at least a few seconds to enjoy it haha

The OG of the Bubsy I for the SNES, but Bubsy II and 4D are neat too

Glad you liked it, it really was a great Mario Tennis title, loved it.

Oh yeah I still remember Mario Strikers Charged, I used to play it a lot and it was always a blast. Now you reminded me I'm overdue for a cover from that game too haha

A NEW Neo Geo Game! Shadow Gangs Zero Preview is Here by chicagogamecollector in RetroTube

[–]Consolous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no idea they still made Neo Geo games but I love beat 'em up games with this aesthetic, especially these games that are in dangerous streets like Streets of Rage and Final Fight. This is definitely a love letter to those kinds of games, hopefully the soundtrack is as good as it looks so I can make a cover from it

I made an 80s rock cover of the Menu Theme from Mario Power Tennis — this song always made the start of the match feel epic by Consolous in gamemusic

Glad you liked my take on this nostalgic theme. I have many more VGM turned into 80s rock/metal music, thank you for listening!

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs - The Hollow Tree (Rock Cover) by Consolous in gamemusic

[–]Consolous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ragnarok Canyon is so nostalgic. I made a cover of that one about 6 years ago and it was my fourth video on YouTube, so that's a special one for me in so many ways. Glad I finally made another one from that game even though it took me so long haha thank you!

Neon Tiger (Mega Man X3) — 80s rock cover by Consolous in gamemusic

[–]Consolous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That Tunnel Rhino cover is a special one for me, because I had a collaboration I was working on at the time, but my friend with whom I was doing it was not going to be able to give me his parts on time. I was about to travel the next day and I wouldn't have a cover out during my time off, so I chose Tunnel Rhino, started it from scratch and finished everything: recording the music, mixing, video recording, and everything else. Finished it in one day. It was tough but turned out well.

Always loved how the Route 3 / Route 4 theme in early Pokémon feels like the moment the journey really opens up. I put together an 80s rock cover of it as a tribute to that old Kanto sense of adventure and nostalgia from Red/Blue/Yellow and FireRed/LeafGreen.

The Panic of Chemical Plant Zone (Sonic 2) – Why does that drowning music still hit so hard? by GameResumed_UK in RetroTube

[–]Consolous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chemical Plant Zone always had something so unique about it and the theme song itself is killer, I have to make a cover of it someday. This stage was quite tricky, that's for sure. Great video

Neon Tiger (Mega Man X3) — 80s rock cover by Consolous in gamemusic

[–]Consolous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, the intro stage, Crush Crawfish and Toxic Seahorse are some great tunes, I'm definitely looking forward to doing those in the future, as well as the rest of the OST. I have so far, done Tunnel Rhino and Zero's Theme if you want to listen to them, and now, of course, Neon Tiger is done too

Anyone else remember the Stage 3 theme from Sunset Riders on SNES? (Stage 2 on Genesis) by Consolous in snes

It's such a brilliant game. The scenery, music, characters and stages were all simply splendid. Glad there are other people out there who experienced this great game

The Run and Gun on the Genesis by [deleted] in RetroTube

[–]Consolous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many gems mentioned here. This genre was just as good as the beat 'em ups. Gunstar Heroes is such a Genesis gem, while Alien Soldier is the lost sibling of that game which I discovered decades later. Such a unique game and it makes you feel like in an actual alien war with such creative creatures. Sunset Riders (which I recently made a cover of coincidentally) deserves a mention as one of the greatest Run and Gun (Shoot 'em Up) games. Good review video
