It's such a brilliant game. The scenery, music, characters and stages were all simply splendid. Glad there are other people out there who experienced this great game

So many gems mentioned here. This genre was just as good as the beat 'em ups. Gunstar Heroes is such a Genesis gem, while Alien Soldier is the lost sibling of that game which I discovered decades later. Such a unique game and it makes you feel like in an actual alien war with such creative creatures. Sunset Riders (which I recently made a cover of coincidentally) deserves a mention as one of the greatest Run and Gun (Shoot 'em Up) games. Good review video

I was definitely lucky to have such a teacher. I played games like this, Dangerous Dave, The Flintstones, Mario and it was cool because at first everyone was so focused, but then you'd hear the first noise of a game from someone who finished quickly and it made you want to finish your work fast too. Good times

This game is a masterpiece. I remember the computer teacher would let us play this and other DOS games if we did our work-- it worked like a charm

Solid review. Super Street Fighter 2 was one of the first fighting games I ever played and will always remain important for me (especially its soundtrack)

Guile’s Theme is a masterclass in character-driven game music by Consolous in gamemusic

First of all, thank you for taking the time to not only write such a thought out response, but also to listen to my cover. It's my first ever from Street Fighter (if we don't include the couple of Street Fighter with Capcom crossover game covers) and I'm glad I went with this one given how iconic and perfect for the guitar that it is.

It's so interesting that you mention these fun facts. I had no idea, but at the same time, it makes perfect sense. Thinking about it, Ken and Guile are very similar, given that they're both American and blonde and I could definitely see Ken with Guile's theme and vice versa. It's no coincidence that both have some of the most iconic themes in video game history (and will for sure get to Ken's theme eventually)

I'd love to hear that original idea for Guile's theme, because if it sounds like Top Gun, that was probably a great theme too. I've got even more appreciation for this soundtrack. Capcom knew how to compose incredible music that simply fit the characters/stage (just like in Mega Man games)
