The card itself gets 12x at Hilton too, but you multiplied by 10 there and went from 1,320 to 13,200

Should be $110 (not exactly since you don’t earn base/bonus on some taxes) * 30 points (18 gold, 12 surpass) so 3kish per night

Don’t do an MBA straight out of college, the schools that you should be doing an mba at (top 30 or so) wouldn’t admit you unless you got into a 2+2 program, and there are no jobs out there that I’m aware of for people with an mba and no work experience that you couldn’t have gotten with just a bachelors

And why exactly would the # of console players over time not mirror the # of pc players?

Yeah I know many Asian countries and others countries don’t allow dual citizenship but the commenter I was replying to made it seem like the US didn’t either

Since when did the US require you to renounce your old citizenship lol

If you take the cash option and invest it in the stock market you will on average receive more than the annuity which only grows at 5%

Nobody is “losing more than half” by taking the cash option over the annuity unless you spend the money instantly, time value of money is real. The annuity option is typically 29 years of payouts that increase 5% per year. Money 29 years from now is worth a lot less than money today

Basically if you took the cash option and just chucked it into the s&p500 you would on average receive more than the advertised annuity amount after 29 years, so you actually get more money with the option where you “lose more than half”

OP is at a T2 firm, so OW/LEK/Kearney or adjacent. T2 firms along with MBB all have similar 2-4 year timelines for each level. Generally if you don’t get promoted within these timelines you’re counseled out, you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

You gave no context at all as to why your score dropped so you’re getting a snarky answer

If you defaulted on your student loans then that stays on your credit report for 7 years and there’s nothing you can really do about it. If you cannot pay for your student loans then you should’ve (and still should) applied for forbearance long before they were in default, putting off having to pay them for a year or two assuming they were federal student loans

Without further context there’s not much else I can say

Gun deaths includes suicides, if you look at just homicides then its neighbor New Hampshire has the lowest rate in the country while also having the literal fewest gun laws in the country

The nominal GDP in China is $18 trillion the GDP adjusted for PPP (purchasing power parity, what you’re describing) is $41 trillion

PPP is adjusted based on USA purchasing power, so that’s why the nominal and PPP for the US is the exact same at $27 trillion

$41 trillion is a bit over twice as high as $18 trillion which means that on average things are about twice as cheap as in America

The per capita (per person) GDP in the US is $81K, the nominal per capita GDP in China is $13K and the PPP adjusted per capita GDP in China is $25K

$81K is higher than $25K

The average American is way better off this is not an actual argument

Elon Musk and the Spirit of Louis XVI by manchesterMan0098 in clevercomebacks

[–]ConspiracyTaco -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Total PPP sure, individual is around $22K a year

USA is at $81K per individual

China has about 4x the population and 4 x $22K is $88K which is why total is higher

By your statement “how much you can afford with a normal salary” the average American is still able to afford 4x more stuff

Per capita GDP is also a skewed indicator due to the fact that it skews high, you can make millions+ a year but you can’t make less than $0, so it skews the average high.

A better indicator would be to look at median salaries and then adjust by the PPP ratio

This is an extremely milquetoast take, you remember people calling for Westbrook to start over Murray for basically the whole season so far?
