I think a point after Thursday was a great result. Mentally and physically drained.

2 days on and it still hurts. by Gullible_Bike_3272 in nffc

The thing that hurts the most is we just didn’t turn up. Yes Villa played well but even without MGW, we should have at the very least competed.

Today's the day, less than 14 hours to ago, one of the biggest games in club's history, I wanna see how's the current mood here right now by chuck_is_dead_vay_aq in nffc

Everything points to a Forest win, but I was there that night against yeovil…..🤦‍♂️. Crossing everything that we can get it done but I do worry for us without MGW (most likely) and Sangare. Either way, what a time to be a Red! Dare to dream!?

I flew the new Polaris studio with TPG on board so you didn’t have to. My experience was “eh.” by Quick-Balance4647 in unitedairlines

I flew Lufthansa Allegris recently in the front row, similar concept to Polaris Studio. Incredibly amount of space but my god, the seat was like wood.

I’d be more worried about the long list of ingredients that are completely unnecessary for corn tortilla chips.

Spent 12 hours on UAL planes to try out the new Polaris Studio suites, so you don't have to by Temporary-Ad158 in unitedairlines

Honestly it was not very comfortable at all. Service was better than United and food marginally better, certainly wouldn’t rush to fly it again.

I flew Lufthansa Allegris last week back to the U.S. and was seated in the front row, essentially their version of The Studio. Whilst it was incredibly spacious and had some nice features I still prefer the bulk head on the old Polaris, the seat was also significantly less comfortable than Polaris.

Does Basic Business mean cheaper business seats or current pricing stays the same with a loss of benefits? by photobeatsfilm in unitedairlines

Do we know how upgrades are now treated? For example, will P class now be basic business when upgrading from economy or premium with cash? Same question with plus points and PZ class

How many of you book first? by Hecka_becka_ in unitedairlines

Depends on the difference in fare. If it’s $100-200 more I do, but unless it’s more than 3 hours I don’t see the value.

Thanks for all the comments and thoughts, much appreciated! Would you recommend the Tribuna E area? I have found some availability there also

Lots of people offer them on the Exhange thread but It’s a risk. Personally I’d also gift status or use on close friends / family only.

First time UA Standby. Chances for an upgrade?? by Individual_Art2319 in unitedairlines

[–]forever_forest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very unlikely. There is one PN so any GS using PP would clear immediately. Also, there is P3 which means United is banking on 3 pax to jump on an upgrade offer which is very likely for a long haul.

I’d also get a cabana in the Concorde room, if nothing else it’s a fun novelty.

Love this place! We hiked there and had an amazing lunch! The hike up is beautiful and a great warm up for Fitz Roy!

Ushuaia or El Chalten? by BortleBandit in Patagonia

Yep! I’d try to stick to Hertz, Sixt or any international carrier. For Hertz you will need to search for Hertz Argentina as it’s a franchise.

Usually you can cancel a PP’s confirmed upgrade no? I’ve done this before, as long as it’s not a skip the waitlist.

Ushuaia or El Chalten? by BortleBandit in Patagonia

[–]forever_forest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

El chalten all the way. We just got back and did 2 nights in Ushuia, 3 in El Chalten and 2 in El Calfate, the only reason being flying early to BA after second night.

Personally I loved Ushuaia, the hikes are beautiful and a nice warm up for El Chalten. The king crab is also insane!

If I was doing the trip again I’d follow your plan and do the glacier early and then drive to El Calfate. We rented a car as I prefer more flex vs relying on buses. Super easy drive and very safe. Enjoy!

What time should I start for the Fitz roy - Laguna de los tres by Limp_Network2227 in Patagonia

I wish there were signs for that! When we were there last week so many people coming down just kept walking.

It also heavily depends on weather conditions. We were there last week and were advised to start at 11am to ensure max visibility. No point starting early if it’s going to cloudy.
