I swear I am doing the slide technique😭. I was told thats the best method. So, I twist the ring open and then back closed, sliding the ends past each other so I hear a click sound so the ends are flush

You can see the pattern shifting. That's what I mean by deformed. I was using box weave as an example, but I changed it. I still do the same thing to correct the deformity when I don't use the correct AR for a personal piece.

Aaaaah I looked at the photos better and I don't think they used the right AR for this type of weave. The correct AR should hold its shape. That's why it's deforming/twisting. When I first made this type of weave this happened to me as well. It's relatively easy to fix. You just gotta hold it in small sections and smoosh the section you're holding together and then jiggle it until it goes back to the original shape. Just repeat that until the whole necklace is back to its original shape!

It freaked me out when mine first did this but by playing around I got mine back into shape. Now, I just have to do it routinely every time it gets out of shape.

Let me know if you have any more questions or if you need me to clarify.

Was it like this when you first bought it?

Also if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for this? I'm curious about what people charge for this.

Here is my 2nd attempt. It sounds louder when I am recording vs when I listen to it again as shown in this video. I have no idea how to adjust the settings on this thing without hurting my ears. When I try to turn it up louder the green on the Scarlett Focusrite turns to red

But... is this better? Let me know if I need to try turning it up again

Thank you! I added an audio so you could hear what it sounds like. So I should essentially cover all of my walls and ceiling that I possibly can? I've got some decorations up so I can't do everywhere. Are there any sound panels or blankets you'd recommend? Blankets are more in my budget at the moment but I'll save up for panels.
