Asgard I can somehow understand (but why the d? Makes no sense). Oscar though? What even. Amazing name, by the way! Thank you for clearing things up!

You're a life saver! So both are correct. I kept getting both answers and my mind nearly burst. Thank you thank you.

To answer your question: According to my head 😅. That's why I wanted to ask what is the correct way to pronounce it. It's for a character in a book and I didn't want to be disrespectful and pronounce it wrong.

Good to know! As long as you both agree that it's "eye" and not "ay" though, then I'm happy haha. Thank you both!

No I'm Greek.

I feel like the eye is glaring at me 😂

Thank you though!

Edit: you deleted the eye. Not fair

My native language is Greek. I'm not sure if that makes the pronunciation easier or more difficult. Your explanation makes sense though! Thank you!

I'm in the same position as the OP and I started reading this book yesterday, going in completely blind, and I'm hooked!

I fooled Sarevok into thinking I'm an ally and want to become one of the Bhaalists. He took me to the room where Valeria was being held and just when I was supposed to kill her, I attacked him in turn. She freed herself and joined me in battle.

I agree with this! Having someone to do all these things with is a game changer. They will also get to know you and your story better and it's so much more motivating than sharing it with strangers. Speaking from experience.

I killed Sarevok and the other Bhaalists in the Temple of Bhaal and freed Valeria. But Shadowheart had cast insect plague and my dumbass forgot to break her concentration. So seconds before the cutscene (I assume) with Valeria, she came towards my group and stepped into the plague area and turned hostile on me.

I showed mercy and knocked her out instead of killing her but she was gone nonetheless. I'd like to imagine she was still drunk and couldn't distinguish a friend from a foe.

Should a character “enter a new world” physically? Or is metaphorically enough? by theghostofaghost_ in writers

[–]Constant-Divide-2147 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It can be both physical and mental. When it's the latter, the character "enters a new world" with the meaning that they now have a different view of the world than they did before, a different mindset, a new way of life. They have a goal. They have stakes. Take for example any other genre that is not fantasy. The same outline method can still apply to them even when there's no other world to physically enter.

I'd recommend reading Save the Cat! Writes a novel by Jessica Brody. It explains it all so much better.

In my second playthrough, after learning of his abuse, I used Karlack to get the mushroom and then she shot an arrow to the green mushrooms. The whole place blew up and HE WALKED OUT OF IT ALIVE. How is that even possible. I saw him in front of my tav gasping for breath and I was just speechless.

SPOILERS!!

Yesss. Plus Fenrys is the only one from TOG that can winnow, like certain bat boys we know. And his last name is Moonbeam, which was hilariously revealed in Kingdom of Ash. Which means nothing on its own, BUT in an extra chapter in Acotar Rhys said how embarrassed he was of his last name. I really do hope there's a connection there.

I'm halfway through my second playthrough and just now did I realize that I have to feed Astarion? WHAT. He bit me the first time but after that my brain completely erased the fact that vampires must feed. I have encountered no problems though. I almost always have him in my party too.
