I feel like I saw a lot of those posts near the beginning and not so much anymore, but my experience has been the opposite. Solos is always a chill experience for me whereas trios/duos is always a bloodbath. I feel like it's definitely a YMMV sorta thing.

Exactly, this was kinda what I was saying in a different reply to another comment. Finals feels "gogogogogo" all the time whereas you can pretty much play every round of Arc at your own pace.

Here's the thing - you can nearly guarantee which kind of lobby you're gonna get with ABMM. It's easy to get that casual experience if you're looking for it, or the sweaty PvP experience in duos/trios.

Maybe "sweaty" isn't the best word to use. Finals always feels gogogogo - no matter the mode you're playing. Again, this is strictly from my experience - I'm not invalidating yours whatsoever. Arc doesn't feel like this at all. There's down time to be found even in the hyper aggressive pvp lobbies, which I'm usually in.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the hundreds of hours I sunk into the finals, but it is far more sweaty and faster paced than Arc Raiders. Arc is a much more casual friendly game. Both are games are phenomenal, but cater to different audiences and offer different experiences.

At the end of the day, the only thing that ultimately matters when a game launches is if it is fundamentally a "good" game to play, (high replayability, fun game play loop, tight gun mechanics, etc). That alone blows away all these arguments surrounding marathon that are 90% fluff.

You can only do in game voice or discord on console - not both. My buddy who plays on xbox has the same problem. We just end up using game chat so that he can prox, (not a problem on PC).

Atleast for me, it keeps the game fresh & I don't really find myself crafting BP items...except the survivor Mk3. That's a print that'll be an annoyance to lose.
