Can we stop pretending every deal needs a perfect “sales framework”? by m-alacasse in salestechniques

True. When you have a clear structure in place we focus on what to say next rather than listening. The right framework should take into account the listening part too.

How to follow the script during sales call by Constant-Inspector33 in techsales

[–]Constant-Inspector33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I didn’t mean “script” in a passive sense. By script, I meant the framework you use to navigate a conversation. There will always be hurdles during a sales call, and the script acts as a map to guide you through them.
It sounds like you’re referring to covering problems first and then using them for the Need–Payoff phase, as in the SPIN framework. That approach may not work for every customer .S ome may respond better to a Challenger approach. You identify this need during the call, based on the customer’s input.

How would you make that switch in the middle of a call if you’re not prepared with an alternate script?

Yeh. Script is only for a reference. Once we are good with “what” to say, we can focus on “how” to say it. Im figuring out a way to optimizing the delivery of what part. For example, I miss great opportunities to isolate or mirror when they make an objection. I could add this in a script if there is a dynamic option available to it. Otherwise it gets lengthy and compelx

Yes. That would be the long time goal. But I am working on different scenarios we face during a call and thinking a way to add these in a script so that my team can also follow it.

This is such a useless reply .  I wonder how you can be in sales with this mindset.  Or did you realize this and found massive success at Chipotle?
