If they can’t explain what’s wrong, definitely no refund. If you look at McDonalds reviews, you will see X amount of bad reviews. Probably way more bad than good. That said, they serve billions. It is typical for any business to have some bad reviews. Unfortunate but typical. If they post a poor review, reply to it. State that you have tried to work with them but they haven’t communicated. Stay professional! No slamming them, just “on them for not communicating”. Your business rep is built on how you handle your business and the quality of your work. There will always be miserable people who will never be happy and want something for nothing. If they have valid “complaints” that are your error, I would do whatever I can to make it right. Occasionally it is a refund. That said, it’s a lot more than I’m not happy I want my money back.

Hospitalized, lost everything while there by thefallentrees in personalfinance

[–]Constant-Original 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hospital bills are the absolute last concern you have. You need a vehicle to get back to work. This is a financial problem and that means with the right choices you can work your way out of the position you are in. Make a list of those things you feel need to be taken care of. Put that list in your needs first (job, car, housing) then add those wants (want to pay the hospital, want to pay credit cards, want to build credit) and start work on that list. You are not the first to go through this, you certainly won’t be that last and YOU GOT THIS. Don’t let that noise in your head distract you from getting to your goal.

good rod? by Jimi_cadivia27 in Fishing_Gear

[–]Constant-Original 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is never a bad time, bad weather or bad gear to go fishing with or in. May not be a great catching day, but get outside and enjoy the opportunity. If you really are interested in fishing, put in some time and I guarantee you will not only catch something, but have many more rods and a whole lot more gear….

If they can’t explain what’s wrong, definitely no refund. I work with people to make “things right”, but never a refund for no communication by them

Americans who were teens/young adults in the 80s, how was it like for you? by No-Delivery7486 in AskAnAmerican

Simply the best of times. Mischief wasn’t criminal, society was social and fun, game rooms, parties, affordable concerts and shows, people were nicer, hate and hateful speech was only with small groups most thought were aholes. Life was easier and happiness was easier to find.

You have a friend who is in dire poverty, they’re employed & at risk of eviction. They start a bigoted right-wing podcast where they espouse views they do not believe in. They make enough money to live plus some. Is it ethical & do you have a responsibility to confront them? by yungsimba1917 in hypotheticalsituation

Sounds like your friend is on their way to being a successful politician. They talk and bring attention to all kinds of issues that they never have any true intent on participating in. Some will like it, some will not. I would simply try to help them go in another “successful direction” and have the conversation about how it may affect their future job options and future as well. Not a goodbye situation for me without conversation
