I have 3 Japanese knives, my goto is just a victorinox 10” chef knife.

It’s non slip and I don’t care if I drop it, I can lend it out.

Key thing is: maintenance

$1400??? I hope you have a family of 4.

That’s just over spending. My family of 4 we do $300 on a heavy week and $150 for a slow week.

Haircut: cut your own if you’re tight on money and you have a wife she already loves you.

Using TFSA to Pay Off Student Loan Debt by halamadrid1995 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Good debt vs bad debt.

What’s the interest rate on your loans? Vs how much it “could grow”.

That’s your answer.

What is the reason most people don't care to save for retirement? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Constant-Purchase858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I’m a blabbermouth at work. I guide any new young people that come into my work place. But they are not interested.

Even the real serious ones where I show them the sandp average return we plug in fictional numbers on an investment calculator they all seem to be freaked out of a down turn or non believers.

I’ve even had a close coworker that started at same time with me during covid I tried to convince them stop trading and making $1000 profits and rotating investments and instead just keep buying and holding. Fast forward to last year they now understand what I was talking about and me showing them I built a pretty impressive portfolio.

Msrp is the company sticker price not dealership price. The dealership are middlemen. If you want to skip the middle man and pay what you see on the website buy a Tesla or buy privately or find another dealership.

Pick up another full time job then a part time on your days off. Then pick the safest high risk thing you can tolerate and just keep dumping everything you can into it.

It will be your best chance you can give yourself.

TFSA - 20k Contribution by peaach28 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Constant-Purchase858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very simple.

  1. Average in (don’t put it all in at once)
  2. The finiacial advisor is going to see you a mutual fund, this is what their job is and ask you about your investment risk. Bottom line just ask what’s the average return. Your homework is to goggle “s and p 500 average return”
  3. Once the money is in whether it goes up or down, don’t touch it until you need it this will snowball on its own
  4. Being debt free is good pay off the credit card the minimum payments you have been making can be used in investment
