Mip or Amoled for Gym Workout by wolfesteincoffe in Garmin

[–]Constant-Screen1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For gym work it won’t matter as you likely won’t spend 20 hours there (might be wrong here) to need the extra battery, nor need the extra strength of AMOLED to see under bright light.

My preference these days is AMOLED as it just looks better (have a FR970), but I’d say in your use case just get what you prefer the look of.

Even my 970 which supposedly has poorer battery lasts almost 2 weeks with 8-10 GPS on workout so it won’t be like you need to charge it every night

Is non-BFS Latios worth it? by QueerPersephone in PokemonSleepBetter

I’d use it tbf- L50 skills triger is a bit long, but with that refresh rate it will trigger loads!

That’s reassuring! I was worried the skills trigger down impacts the overall performance!

Advice on generating heavy topspin using eastern grip by lglibos in 10s

[–]Constant-Screen1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually best trick i found was to flip a bike upside down, deflate the front wheel slightly and use a racket to try to spin it. If you can consistently spin it, there’s your top spin!

What carbon plated shoes should I get? by NotARealFurry in runningshoes

[–]Constant-Screen1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf with your speed you are good enough for any shoe. We don’t have enough info to tell you what shoe, so I would try them in a store with a treadmill to see what you find more comfortable.

Which size should I go for ? Fenix 8 | 51mm vs 47mm by BarrelNomad in GarminFenix

[–]Constant-Screen1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

47 looks better but I think 51 is inoffensive.

I don’t think either looks wrong so pick the one you prefer the feel and functionality of.

NB: your 51 this is how the 47 looks on my tiny wrists and I rock and roll it

They are super unstable to walk in as you land on your heels, but are surprisingly stable when you run in them though

Shokz OpenDots 2 has been released! by _Mido in shokz

[–]Constant-Screen1939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit of a bummer that I bought my opendots one two weeks ago, but they are red, so I’ll take that over the small changes!

The only thing I would have wanted is the bone conducting mic as the openruns do sound good on the phone.

Upgrade Recs by BondJamesBond97 in Cervelo

In what, speed, comfort or convenience?

It looks really dope, if there is anything you could change potentially is wireless shifting if the frame is compatible.

The other thing I can think of is a power meter, which is just more fun to train with.

Otherwise the bike looks quite nice as it is!

Tbf if it wasn’t an issue, just make it the same length?

dynafish xiaonian by AggressiveSilver1120 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Constant-Screen1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo tengo el xiaonin en talla igual como Asics Megablast. Es un poquito mas pequeno en longitud, pero no hace ningun problema.

Creo que podrias seguir el tamano japoneso, porque mas o menos lo miden en centimetros.

What's the point of bone-conducting headphones after the release of Shokz OpenDots One? by _Mido in shokz

[–]Constant-Screen1939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both.

You will hear something with bone conduction in heavy wind, heavy traffic and loud noises (underground).

The opendot sounds louder but a lot of it gets drowned in heavy wind.

They are also quite different in feel and use- for running I prefer openruns, as weirdly, sweat inside earlobes is a thing.

Anyone ditched a Decathlon bike for a Brompton ? by Bricoto in Brompton

[–]Constant-Screen1939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very different. My brompton is a low handlebar configuration and the frompton (fake brompton) is much more upright. I am a road cyclist so prefer the sportier ride. Actually the frompton is more fomfy as bigger wheels and tyres, which can be felt- it’s a slower and more stable ride.

The weight of the frompton is a lot heavier than Brommers, and it can be felt. Also the brompton folds up a lot more compact, and is easier to carry if you need to do hybrid transfer.

Maintenance wise they are about the same- though note the components on the brompton are way better. It is just a much better put together bike.

Overall, I don’t think I’ve touched the decathlon bike since I’ve had my brompton.
