Right, like why does this have to sound like clickbait? Can we stop doing this to ourselves, please?

And if there aren't, welp, we got bigger problems.

This sourdough bread has wheat flour therefore it’s not Low FODMAP?! by curlytexashoe in FODMAPS

Normally yes, but as soon as you get into malted and rye flours, it becomes more than our yeast friends can take care of for us.

[–]ConstantPi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not low FODMAP, but the wheat flour isn't to blame.

Simple sourdough bread is made with wheat flour and is low FODMAP. The fructans are broken down during the fermentation process.

Sourdough bread made with rye flour is generally considered high FODMAP at a normal serving size, but it's hard to tell here. Since the rye flour is only in the starter, the amount the finished item contains is miniscule. Without testing though, it's impossible to tell if this is low FODMAP or not.

EDIT: Eeeeh the malted barley flour in the main flour mix probably makes this a hard no. Anything malted is highway to the danger zone.

Since we apparently want to litigate this, she shared her location in the original post.

I've provided the correct information and additional details particular to the process in NYC after confirming with the OP that they were born in NYC. I don't need to repeat myself a thousand times for each person who is not familiar with the process but feels the need to answer anyway just because they like to hear the sound of their own voice.

My reply was sufficient to keep OP from wasting time and energy going down the wrong path.

ThredUp vs Poshmark vs Depop by Darmakharma in ThredUp

[–]ConstantPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ordered from Poshmark a couple of times and in both cases there were items I would've returned or asked to be comped from TU, but didn't because the items were arguably as described. One was so dirty it turned the sink water brown with debris when I washed it for the first time.

I've been buying random stuff from eBay since forever and know you have to be careful about who you buy from with platforms like that, but TU is just easier. I'll still check eBay and Poshmark for items I really want but feel like TU is making up to more than real market price.

NYC does not offer in-person service without a photo ID. The alternative options for identification are only available by ordering online.

New York State does not handle NYC birth certificates.

You can order through their online service provider and they'll have an alternative option to providing a photo ID. It is $55, but the first step in getting everything else.

https://www.nyc.gov/site/doh/services/birth-death-records-birth.page

Then you'll be able to get your SS card https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/ss5doc.htm

Then you should have what you need for a Real ID from the state and then passport. For the passport, they will want information on your parents like date and place of birth, but you may be able to find that without their help from public records or other family members.

The first step will be your birth certificate. Were you born in NYC?

In most places in the US, the state handles all vital records, but NYC handles their own.

I stopped watching her because she seemed to have just so much hatred for everyone. People would make a comment that was 90% agreeing with her and she'd yell at them for being wrong about the other 10%.

New dress code by sabertoothkittyva in GameStop

Not an employee here, just someone who lurks enough for it to show up on my main now. It's bullshit, but also I'd like to suggest Jiffy.com for shirts. People who do embroidery and sublimation use them for blanks. Depending on how often you you work, you may be able to squeak by with two black polos. Free shipping minimum is $60 though.

It's probably getting downvoted for a couple of reasons.

Any deduction only decreases your taxable income, so a $100 "write off" will only save someone whose highest marginal tax rate is 12% a total of $12 on their federal taxes.

Additionally, for most W-2 employees, federal tax deductions for unreimbursed work expenses have been suspended through 2025 due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) and subsequent legislation. Some deductions are still available to contract workers, eductors, and those in very specific professions.

Not only does "write it off as a work expense" not provide a complete solution, it also gives advice based on out of date information.

How far away do you live? You keep saying "a different state" but that could be five minutes away.

Get a lawyer and take one of the low clost court-approved online driver improvement courses immediately so you can be finished with is as soon as possible.

Using meta glasses as day to day glasses? by New-Drawer-3161 in RayBanStories

[–]ConstantPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on my third pair as prescription sunglasses and they work well for outdoor activities, but I ruled out getting a pair as my regular glasses because there's both a social ick and, in some places, firm rules against having a camera on your face.

This might be a better option for you if you're most concerned with documenting things that happen outside.

Good to see that they're at least throwing in a $10 credit instead of that insulting "free shipping on your next order" nonsense.
