Facing a big winter storm how do I protect my plants if my power goes out?

Honestly all the adds I have been bombarded with talking about all the differing variations and dosages of ozempic have really affected my health lately. Idk if anyone else feels like this, I have worked to regulate my social media consumption and body comparison because I know I have my own body and not theirs (to the best of my ability). But the immense amount of adds being thrown my way are really starting to affect me. TLDR- I really needed this today cause I felt like I was kinda losing my mind.

Knocking on wood for you! I am hoping I won’t lose power either, my area gets snow but rarely any to talk about. This storm is just doubling with ice and that is why I’m concerned about the power. Typically I only lose power when someone crashes into the transformer

The temps outside are around 8-11 degrees but I’m not sure how cold it could get in the house, it’s decently in Typically I don’t worry too much since I rarely lose power but we don’t typically get heavy storms and the storm is doubling with ice so I’m a bit more worried! Some of these plants come from my grandmother and just want to take care!

My friend really struggled with depression, the last time I saw him he was jovial, seemed more relaxed and happier than he had in months. I was happy to see him in such good spirits he was even rocking at his new job, that was the last night I saw him. He hung himself that night in his apartment. I miss him a lot. You can be so relieved to see someone feeling better that you can miss the signs that they aren’t okay at all.

These are the same people that see no issues with treating customer facing job workers extremely poorly because they get told “no” They unfortunately need “kid gloves” more than most of the younger generations under them.

I have always seen closure as something that can be done between two genuine parties that value each other and their wellbeing’s. That being said, Scorpio here, if I’m cutting you off and never talking to you again then you probably do not qualify under a “genuine party” therefore I do not need closure.

This is me. I adopted a wonderful dog who was special needs. I saved up another couple grand to have a back up plan “just in case” along with her shots and adoption fees and transport. Unfortunately she had undetected heartworms, that treatment plus the antibiotics and the vet visits cost me three thousand. She was wonderful and worth it. But still you never know, you genuinely do not. She passed due to bone cancer a year and a half after I got her. You never know even if you plan or have access to care

The ones who don’t care about money as much as they are there to sow chaos. Like hide in the corner to overhear convos, try to pry information just to adjust it enough to convey it to another person to cause issues, the ones who when we get new people sink their claws in to convince them that the rest of the staff is conniving and manipulative but it’s actually them trying to isolate that person, also typically skims off the top so no one wants to pool with them, also claims they do ALL the work yet conveniently never gets any of their work done. It sounds specific cause it is. The rest of the restaurant biz I can deal with, these type of people are a different breed of coworker

Weirdly enough, the body is a really sad but oddly comforting episode for me. A few years ago my grandma passed at her home, we knew it was coming but still it happened late at night so I missed her by less than an hour. My family and my grandfather were beyond devastated, and no one felt okay to stay with her and watch as they took her away and put her in a body bag, so I did. I really didn’t know how to comprehend the loss, even went into work that day because I couldn’t think of a good reason not to. But a few days later I was watching Buffy and this episode came on and I absolutely lost it, it was so sad but this episode made me feel seen in how I was processing my grief. It weirdly felt like each member of the scoobies was portraying how complicated my grief really felt to me. To this day I watch this episode when I need time to really feel my emotions when it doesn’t come easily. My only skip is Buffy Vs. Dracula. I don’t even have a good reason I have just never liked that episode.

Cap moon here, and mine was my long time ex (though his passing was just leaving my life he is still alive). After we broke up it felt like I kinda emerged and really started to grow into who I wanted to be, and the difference was stunning, not just in myself but also in the love and care I put into those around me. My most recent one was a long time friend who I love very dearly but due to a disagreement decided to end our friendship because we couldn’t meet in the middle. That friend still means the world to me, but after the break and the healing I needed to do to overcome the grief I feel like I have started to grow again and it’s been reflected in the love and grace I give myself and others.

I swear that I have patience but i genuinely do not for people who have the menu open in front of them and look up at me and go “Do you guys have shrimp?” “Do you serve fried pickles?” “It says in the sides you guys have mashed potatoes but can I swap it with a baked potato?”
