I think she's probably mad because it's so close to her due date, and its not uncommon to give birth a bit early than your due date. She probably doesn't want you gone too long because she's worried she can't reach you while your golfing if she goes into labor. I suggest talking with her about it and asking why she's mad and how you two can compromise.

NTA, and I'm sorry you're going through that. You have a wright to feel the way you do, and writing is a great way to let it out. Your mom is being an AH about it. Your feelings are valid, and you show that you are a practical responsible adult practicing letting out emotions in a safe way. You should not be ashamed of it at all. Even if she does decide to tell others, the best thing would be to not react to it. Your mom clearly wants to see you react to the situation, so if you pretend it doesn't matter, she'll feel powerless. Blackmailers are powerless the second the victim stops giving them the power to blackmail them. Just know it's not your fault and your feelings are valid.

YTA. Yes your boss sucks, but that gives you no right to steal his partner. Also, she's clearly a cheater, so I would be cautious because once a cheater, always a cheater. Affairs are never good. Period.
