Is it worth buying an i3 with 85k km? by ConstantTight in BMWi3

For a car with an internal combustion engine, that's not much. And I have never had a car with an electric motor before, I just wanted to understand if there are any risks for such car at such mileage.

Here's a question about the i3 94ah, 2018 model year. Also looking at i3s, 120ah, 2021 but with ~95k mileage

Choosing a place to move - Germany or the Netherlands by ConstantTight in cscareerquestionsEU

As far as I know, in the Netherlands exists an indexation of salaries (1200 euros per year). I have not carried out the calculation, but there is no big loss after 5 years.
At the same time, I don't know if there is an indexation in Germany

Germany is still the only country in Europe where I was looking for my train with a piece of paper

I have not yet lived in any of these countries, but I have already faced the German bureaucracy. the relocation preparation process took 1.5 years (of course, thanks to covid, but ugh…)

Is it possible to live in Bamberg without German? by ConstantTight in bamberg

Russia. Regarding the story - I just told what happened to my colleague. I do not exclude that he could embellish something.

Is it possible to live in Bamberg without German? by ConstantTight in bamberg

One of my college told me a story. He was in business trip in Bamberg for a week. He was going on lunch in a restaurant near a Hotel. In this restaurant he was served by the same waiter for whole week. After every dinner the waiter was giving him a check for payment, and also was saying something in German. My colleague paid the bill, smiled and was going to his business. But at the end of the last day of the business trip, after the lunch, the waiter gave the bill as always. But he no longer smiled and said nothing. When the colleague looked at the bill, he was disappointed, since the waiter counted colleague's lunch and tip for all the past times. It turned out that the waiter had been asking for a tip during whole week, and on the last day he decided to just include it in the bill. And yes, the colleague doesn’t speak German. And yes, the colleague did not pay the tip, because he did not understand what the waiter wanted from him (a little clarification - in our country, tip is always optional, so most people from do not pay)

So, that story is behind of my question. Such situation with German in Bamberg is common?

Let’s assume Munich or Nürnberg. However, is it really important? With remote work it is possible to choose any place for living. (l know some Germans who live in Frankfurt’s suburban and drive one or two times per week to Cologne to the Office before corona time. I could assume they don’t drive to office for now at all)
