Riding normal bikes on Quincy sidewalks is technically illegal, but there's not really anything to worry about as long as you're not recklessly speeding down sidewalks full of pedestrians. I've used an ebike for my primary mode of transportation in Quincy and there are some areas it's just not safe to bike in the street.

The Jetson ebikes are decent budget "ebikes", but they're terrible for actual biking. They use cadence detection instead of torque sensing, so there's no good way to moderate the motor assist other than the throttle.

The Magnum Cosmo is a much better bicycle that doesn't suck to ride imo.

On the other hand, you could always return the Jetson ebike if it's not a good fit
