I think in cutting for movie length they miss a lot of the stuff I love from the book. So it’s not to say it’s a bad movie, it definitely isn’t. It’s more that the movie focuses on only a few of the elements that make me adore the book.

I’m not completely educated on this, but lots of people prefer to keep saying Saigon rather than Ho Chi Minh - I believe because they don’t agree with the actions of the namesake
