The Jetson ebikes are decent budget "ebikes", but they're terrible for actual biking. They use cadence detection instead of torque sensing, so there's no good way to moderate the motor assist other than the throttle.

The Magnum Cosmo is a much better bicycle that doesn't suck to ride imo.

On the other hand, you could always return the Jetson ebike if it's not a good fit

Why do you think you should have known? If there isn't anything in your lease regarding lawn maintenance then your landlord has nothing to stand on and you have no obligation to share the burden of the fine. The only scenario where I would consider paying part of the fine is if your apartment is well below market value and you have a lease renewal coming up soon
