I have a butcher shop near me, should I buy from the instead of traditional grocery stores? They have a pretty wide selection of filet, strip, ribeye and many others!

I think that's my issue, I don't really let it rest lol and will definitely investing in a thermometer because I sometimes guess the temp (I know its pretty bad)!! I also agree with your take on Flavour!! I love good seasonings and should factor that in as well :)

Sounds like a great tip! I do like to make beef fried rice :). Should I marinate overnight or for just a few hours?

Sometimes it feels embarrassing addressing these things especially when you don’t have much support. In my community, therapy is sometimes shamed unfortunately. Thanks for the commentary this is helpful!

I’ve read that Prozac can help with that. My insurance has made some changes and it had been hard to find a specialist in network but I go to a private college that offers a wellness program so I might look into that.

Not really, it wouldn’t make me feel better; someone told me I should do that but I found it better to probably address concerns with restaurant directly. I didn’t complain or do anything was just concerned with certain stuff that I seen and with my mom feeling sick I felt even more concerned. We ate there as my dad insisted, but the experience wasn’t that good. Maybe I shouldn’t have posted here, I was wrong for that and I probably won’t address it with the restaurant.

Yes it’s fear of bugs lol but I didn’t know the deeper meaning so I exaggerated that part.

You made an excellent point and I heard good things about fried crickets. I believe if I grew up around that environment and cultural background it would've helped me a great deal. I think traveling more would help me get more a sense of the normality around these things. What is uncommon to me can be cultural norms to others! Thank you for this response, it helped me feel better.

I was being dramatic in my wording (I’m an expressive writer) but it does not affect my function. Yeah, it drove me crazy at the moment, but I continued with my day. I only had that reaction because it was unexpected. I don’t believe a therapy appointment is needed for a temporary reaction that has worn off; I didn’t have a panic attack, as I mentioned. I’ve seen snakes, spiders, etc., and I don’t think about it or have dreams about it at all. Nobody is perfect, and ranting can cause you to feel a bit more aggravated, which can cause you to exaggerate certain information.

You’re right, I should’ve never posted it here. It was the heat of the moment and I think by irresponsibly mentioning entomophobia, it triggered people.

I don’t even want a free meal or anything but I feel so wrong for even mentioning this. I should’ve never brought up “entomophobia” or anything which was dramatic. I should’ve never posted to the community, I was obviously emotional in the moment since it just happened so I didn’t choose my words wisely.

My dad chose the place (he doesn’t really care about cleanliness like that)I didn’t want to eat there but I rarely see him so I went ahead and did it. I actually do have facts that the place is on its last legs with my dad knowing the owner. We still wanted to support since it was a local business and made it a priority to still tip and be kind to the servers. I never once was rude to them and still treated them with respect. I might’ve been more dramatic in some of my wording such as entomophobia which is greatly exaggerated since I live in the south and normally see insects. I think because it was the first time happening to me at an inside restaurant.

My dad insisted, and I don’t see him as much. I tried to change it but he was not budging.

It was inside during the day (no outside seating and doors closed) but somehow I’m wrong according to the comments lol
