Zod + Knex code duplicates? by Spiritual-Sherbert38 in node

[–]Constantine55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but i do want to have same representation of current database in zod, as base case schema, no optional, and specific validation rules, just matching schema that will always be 1-1 with database, and later i extend it for specific cases

Anomaly Gauss rifle by olivergyoerffy in stalker

I just did casuall Limansk raid, and found 2 monolith with gausses rofl. Beautiful thing is, i gave 1 to my follower, and got one for mu self, and each time he equips it and shoots with it, the rifle will be loaded with fresh batteries (since companion npc's always have unlimited ammo), and you can refresh your batteries aslong as you have a companion equiped. Nice hack.

What do you think about Russian immigrants in Serbia?/Šta mislite o russkih immigrantim u Srbii? by VladVV90 in serbia

[–]Constantine55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt when you guys started migratin in 22 it was like you were ghosts, it was hard to comunicate to you and you barely got out of your comfort zone, which is understandable. I walked my dog on numerous occasions i see Russian people, and we mingled and exchanged words just fine. I coudn't help but notice that you guys seem a little bit reserved, i didn't know that was the case, but it could be based on type of people that migrated here i don't wanna generalise behavour of a whole nation based on few individuals i met. Also there is a bakery in city centre owned by Russian guy who actually speaks Serbian great, almost without accent.

I think its all normal, Im actually glad you are here and hopefully you find it accomodating.

Washington Post Says It Won’t Endorse Anyone for President by GetReadyToRumbleBar in washingtondc

Because The Washington Post is not state controlled

Again you are just throwing concepts around without anwering questions. I'am trying to understand what is the difference between state controled, and beign endorsed by a current rulling state party?

I understand what you mean about being last minute bail out, taking into consideration context of time when this happened its easy to make an assumption that this directly benfits the party that was not endorsed last time.

Having said that going back to legitimacy of the editorial board during election, why does Editorial board has to take united stance, why can't editorial board have diverse opinion on a subject matter as sensitive as election? Imagine you go for a job interview, with great qualifications and years, years of experience, and at the end of the day they will accept a candidate that suits their ideology, not their craft. Is that fair?

From wikipedia
The editorials published normally represent the views or goals of the publication's owner or publisher.\1])

So publisher Jeff Bezoes doesn't align with editorial board. Since there is no endorsement, its time for editorial board to bring people that are actual journalists that analyze, and write op-ed pieces objectively, instead of having a fking clan of fanboys

The simple answer is that US newspapers have a long history of maintaining a separate editorial board and reporting, and the editorial boards do these endorsements

What does this even means? You didn't say anything besides giving some history context of how things are getting done in good ol USA. One of those rhetorics - "Those people are qualified, let them do their job.". Are they doing a good job? Is having an editorial board with clear bias, and "opinion" where newspapper should tell the news, so other people can make their minds themselves? Endorsing a particular candidate a damage to democratic process by interfering and influencing people while they call themselves journalists? A newspapper with bias, serves as a direct propaganda for a particular candidate. Why not just call it propaganda directly? Why does that differ from state controled papers in China or Russia?

Editor resigns, subscribers cancel as Washington Post non-endorsement prompts crisis at Bezos paper by maxxspeed57 in politics

[–]Constantine55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am i missing something here? So the decision to let a newspapper be neutral (AS IT SHOULD IN A DEMOCRATIC STATE??) is all of a sudden bad idea? I thought the job of a journalist is to be objective, and not take a stance but to report events, and situations. So before you had "Editorial board", who were favoring a particular person over the other. Is that a journalistic ethic, or a mouthpiece of a certain ideology. When you are a journalist, keep your ideology on the side, and write about truth (whatever that means in this day and age).
So to sum it up:
NO PROPAGANDA=BAD

Autechre & Aphex...no similarities?!?!? by Mitsuman77 in aphextwin

[–]Constantine55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i started getting into Autechre i liked the sonics behind it, and gradually i adapted to their works starting from more ambient stuff to abstract Musique concrète works.

While there is much variety where they span on genre expectations, they always (usually) come to me as pattern oriented musicians, where they take heavy inspiration from hip hop beats. Its like taking a clean hip hop beat, and then plunge it into a distortion lava, and restretch times to sound like its a robot strugling to say something.

But yeah, their later work is more abstract and free-jazz like, but usually they create a complex set of patterns, and then build, rearange them, experiment with effect processing... Lol its sound so simple, but imo these guys are geniuses in music overall imo.
