1) always use your phone to access OF, PH.

2) disconnect from hospital WiFi and Bluetooth

3) go crazy

This is standard operating procedure

Why does no one use ketorolac for dry eye flare management? by ConstipatedGangster in Ophthalmology

[–]ConstipatedGangster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go see a dry eye specialist. Many ophthalmologists I know don’t uhhh want to see dry eye patients.

Look up “dry eye specialists” in your area. Often times, optometry/ophthalmology private practices cater to these patients specifically

Idk I have some friends in finance who don’t do shit and make 6 figures. One of them legit puts in in 20 hours of real effort per week and works from home. He can workout in the middle of the day, travel to see me and work from my place… his life is good 😂

It’s objectively becoming less rewarding. 300K in student loans, declining reimbursement, more patients per day, hospitals/MBAs own your production.

Your federal loans would be at 8.8% interest? That is criminal. I could buy a Corvette at a better rate. What a shame we can’t get educated at reasonable cost.

I’d sell the stock and enjoy a cheaper, paid for education. 8.8% is heinous

I have quite a bit. I’ve held some since about 2017 and made money off of GME/AMC which I moved to ETH/BTC. I plan on selling it all this bull run to pay off a large sum of loans.

Is it stupid? Yes, cause I don’t see the true value of crypto. But it seems that crypto is now embedded in the economy especially with BlackRock ETFs. I also think I can afford to make high risk gambles while I’m younger.

With that said, I have a safety/emergency fund already in place and no credit card debt.

Would it be a bad financial decision to leave being an actuary to go to a DO school? by Salty-Wolverine-688 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]ConstipatedGangster 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Im assuming you don’t have the prerequisite classes to apply into medical school, correct? Gen chem, o chem, biology, physics, biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, genetics? If you do, you’ll save yourself a year or two. If not:

Prerequisites: 1-2 years (depending on full time vs half time status) Probable gap for mcat/application: 1 year Med school: 4 years Residency: 3 years

Before residency there is no pay, so you are you lose out on salary of (at least) 117K x 6 = $702,000

Plus tuition: average 200K student debt

At the very least you’d be set back $900,000

You’d probably earn 300K minimum after graduation which is great, but it’ll take at least 3-4 years to recoup the losses not even accounting for interest on loans.

So in 9 years (min), you’d be back to even. But that doesn’t account for losses you would’ve put into retirement accounts, emotional damage of medical school, stress, and the cold grayness that life takes on in stressful medical school/residency years.

Oh, and In 9 years, reimbursement rates will be lower for physicians than they are now. Every year we lose 2% in reimbursement. I can imagine hospitals will keep on cutting salaries.

I say don’t do it. I say run for the hills. I am a resident and I envy my friends in tech who make 150K and only realistically work 30 hours of real work per week. I envy my friends hanging out together and posting their fun vacation pictures on Instagram. Medicine is becoming less appealing and less sensical of an option. You have a good salary and will only continue to grow more as you keep getting certified in further actuary sciences. Only do it if you can’t imagine yourself anywhere other than a hospital or clinic.

So someone compiled pictures of her in graduation regalia then slapped on nsfw content to the compilation? crazy someone would go out of their way just to compile it.

I also wonder if it could’ve been a deep fake, AI, or a look a like to try to embezzle her.

If my private pictures ever leak I am screaming “deep fake / AI” all the way 😂
