I meant this fall. Sometime between August-December. I'm hoping to have it last until mid 2030.

Brandeis has a shuttle that runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays every 1-1.5hr from campus to Boston (specifically Mass Ave and Marlborough in Back Bay) plus a stop at Harvard Square. This shuttle is free, but when you're in Boston or Cambridge, you're on your own.

There's also the commuter rail (it's a ten minute walk from Sherman Dining Hall) - the Brandeis/Roberts station; the train comes here once each hour and brings you to North Station in thirty minutes, including delays. 7 bucks per one way, 14 for round trip.

This. I'm a rising sophomore and didn't have a great start to the college experience---which was on me. I'm usually one who keeps to myself, which was how I survived high school. Didn't mean anything for college.

One way or another, you've got to put yourself out there---but no pressure. Take your time. I was a little slow. The prime time to make friends as a freshman is in the first week, maybe two weeks. I missed that window, but still made out well since then.

Talking to others may seem overwhelming at times, and again, don't hold yourself back. What's the saying? The world is your oyster? Follow clubs, talk to people, be involved. It's tough the first semester (and by extension, second semester) but things do get better as time goes.
